What do you wish you had more time for?

Do you ever feel you don't have hours enough in your day? What do you need more time for - do you spend so many hours on the house you have no time for the kids - or vice-versa? Do you wish you had more time for excercise, art or hiking? I wish - although I would never wish to lose my baby and not see him each and every day - I wish I had more time wholly on my own. To think, to dream, to be.

Anything but work. It seems to be taking over everything I do anymore. If I had to pick one thing it would be more time for sketching and doing artwork. I just have not been able to get back to it or even get in the mood for it. maybe someday I will get back to it. 7

I hope you do, its important to have a hobby/outlet. Sometimes work winds up defining who we are and other essential elements in our personality get lost or fade away... Good Luck Se7enth (is it a play on zenith or seventh?) and have a fortuitous day!

It's a play on Seventh. That's the first time I have seen Zenth in the name. The time is there if I looked for it. If I wanted it bad enough, I could find it. 7

I wish that I had more time for a lot of things, but I mostly wish that I had more time for Goldie.

What or who is Goldie? :) I bet you wish you had more time for Neil Gaiman, his words and videos for one?

I wish I had more time to do the stuff I wanted to do and not having to do the stuff that I have to do because there just isn't an option for that. I spend a lot of time doing class work and what not, and I don't have much time to simply do what I want to do. I hate that.

Its frustrating isn't it? Maybe when you're done with study and have started your career things may be easier - I hope so. Love your avatar.

There are a few things I wish I had more time in the day for. Being with my kids, Scrap booking and just being on my own to read, day dream or go on vacation. Between work, the house and my kids school life there isn't much time for other things.

I just wish I had more time to do all the things I'm involved with....My ideal day would consist of doing some aspect of my photo work, work on my crafts, write, do more slideshows, more time here, more time at my other hang outs on the Net, AND more time to relax...everyday....LOL I try to do some writing in my novel everyday for instance, but then some project of mine takes more time than anticipated, even if it's just writing articles for AC or working on grants..in fact, plan to do that again this coming week, as there are two more grants I'm trying for so might be "absent" from here again--my does anyone ever get caught up???? :(

too many children do not interfere in the matter(and their more than 18years old),so you have relatively more personal time to arrange your activities.

So I'm a little confused - are you saying you have time now for everything you want to do?

I wish I have more time to stay with my wife, my kids and my parents. Time goes by so quickly that I don't have any feeling that I spent the amount of time that I should spent on my family. A better time management skill should be developed, but first of all, a job which is not so busy is important.

Sleeping definately! I'm one of these people who needs at least 8 hours sleep a night - preferably more! How people manage on 4 or 5 I will never know. I do try and get these, but with a busy full-time job, a fairly long commute to work and back, a house to run, and my 6 cats, - not to mention my friends and my partner, I am always tired, and always left feeling that I need more sleep than I am actually having.

Wow you really have a busy life. Sleep is important and those who don't get enough - or don't get quality sleep are probably so used to it they don't realize that this lack effects many areas - cognitive functioning, memory, health, energy. I adore sleep - for its restful qualities and my always interesting dreams.

i am a single mom of four kids.... my mom is 75 years old and lives in the country with my sister. i wish i had more time so i can pay a visit at my mom as often as i want too. being a single mom who works and still do chores around the house eats most of my time. and i even dont have time to have a really good sleep. well.... thats life.

I know what you mean - and seeing my mom is on my list too - she's 73 and lives in a far away state. For us its more money, we pay more to live on base, our plan was to visit the moms for thanksgiving - one after another - but now that she's sick I'd like to visit more....

If I didn't have to work....I would be home more doing more writing and working on my art projects. I didn't get the opportunity to do my own thing until my kids were grown. And I am so enjoying what time I have to work on those things.

I wish to have more time for mylotting to interact with my mylot friends and more time to be with my family to enjoy the pleasure of being together. I also wish to have more time to stay with my old parents to listen to them for whatever they want to talk to me as I seldom have time to see and stay with them for my working so far away from them. I miss them a lot and hope that time will stop on the spot without moving on...

I often wish for what you have expressed rather poetically, that time will stop on the spot withut moving on. You certainly have an excellent grasp of the English language. It is hard not to be able to spend a lot of time with parents after they have gotten older, my mom is seventy three and lives in another state and I would love to be able to spend more time with her.

Can a student say nothing about this? Time is stated. And so is the fee for travel. I advise that making hiking and that one of your schedules, and you will have time wholly on your own.

I'm totally confused by this. Don't know what "Time is stated. And so is the fee for travel" means or how it relates to my discussions. The whole idea is that I don't have time - or I would be getting a massage, or hiking, or reading or napping.. Thanks for participating.

More time with my family and also more time with sleep.:) I don't often have time to go home since they are working in another city. I don't sleep that much as well sometimes, since I would spend sometime doing something I like at night, since I couldn't do it in the daytime when I need to work. WBR,Andy

Hey Andy, I have to find the thread where I originallly asked what WBR means. I can understand wanting to stay up late to do things you can't. I do that sometimes after the baby is asleep but wind up regretting it the next day as the only one who gets up early with the baby is well me!

I wish I had more time to just sit and read. Life has been hecktic the last few weeks and I would just to a breather where I can enjoy a good book and maybe a cup of coffee without thinking of all the other things that need to get done. Things should be calming down soon so my wish should be coming true in just a little while.

I wish I had more time to read books. I used to read lots of books, but nowadays due to busy schedule with works, family etc, I barely had enough time to read my favourite books

I wish I had more time for me. I get up at 6 am each morning to get kids ready for school. Then it is to housework and such until about 8:30. Then I start homeschooling one of the kids that stays home, while getting projects ready for my preschoolers. Then more homeschooling, Engish and Math. Then go get kids from preschool, make lunch. Clean up lunch, more homeschooling, until about 3pm. Then the other kids are home from school. They have to get chores done and this is when I do my banking, online purchases, visit my lot, and anything else that needs done on the computer. Then it is getting dinner ready, eat, then clean some more. Then get the kids bathed and off to bed. Then finish any housework that needs done. By the time I get to bed, it is usually about midnight, so I don't really have the time to take time for myself. I know I should, but even trying to find the time to take a shower is a scheduling difficulty. Sometimes I really wish I could go back to work, at least I would have drive time to myself.

I just wish I had more time with my girlfriends. The time that I spent with her is so little. Just wish I had more time with her so that she will never feel lonely. :)

I live by myself and wish I had more time for me. For the first time in eight weeks, I am not watching Auriel on my days off. I moved in May, was really looking forward for some 'me' time after 47 years. And my daughter showed up. I had a major fight with her before. Now she understands I love her daughter because she is her daughter. Don't get me wrong I absolutely adore my granddaughter but I need to remember the me, or try to figure out the me I was trying to be before kids came crashing into my life. Today my face is all swollen like I was crying for two days. But I wasn't. It is exhaustion.

I wish I could fit all this in one day: cooking cleaning fun my husband my cat going for walks my job mylotting Heliumming But the best I can do is about 3 or 4 in one day. My cat always gets fed, but he doesn't always get attention. The same with my husband. TAke care

I'd definitely like a few more hours in a day. Probably to catch up on hobbies, or maybe just to relax and sleep. I do know one thing, If we somehow got more hours without incident I would be cheering.

You didn't even answer the question - please please don't just read the title. The question is, what don't you have time for. Thanks.
