A strange thing I saw yesterday...

So as I was driving home I got up to a stop sign. I made my stop and was getting ready to proceed when all of a sudden out of nowhere a man on a horse came galloping from the left and turned onto the street that I was on. Now it's not strange to see people riding horses on this street, but they are on the shoulder area or out in the field walking, not in the middle of the road (oncoming traffic lane nonetheless) galloping away like they were crazed. As I drove away, I glanced in my rear-view mirror and saw he went into the correct lane, still riding quickly, though holding up traffic (cars on this road go at least 65 mph). Well, I hope everything turned out okay and that this guy wasn't wanted or something.

Pink elephants driving down the road.
I was going down the road with my mom when we were passed by a truck going the opposite direction. Driving the car was someone in a pink elephant costume. His passenger was also wearing a pink elephant costume. In the bed of the truck was a large stuffed pink elephant.
It was the middle of July.

We once saw a large black and white cow walking along our street with the D.A.R.E jeep behind it following it. It seems it got out of a nearby farm and wandered down our street. The jeep was there to make sure nobody hit it and to let the owners know where it was.

It is really stange to see one riding a horse on a highway for cars. It is really dangerous for him to do that. I hope that he is fine at all.

I am going to avoid driving where you drive. That sounds like it could have been very dangerous for you and the horse. We have horses and buggies in our town but they stay close to the right of the road and do a reasonable speed.

Sounds like a dangerous situation for drivers and the horse and rider! Glad you saw him and was stopped or could have been a terrible accident. I don't think you would have been at fault but probably felt bad about it. Oh well...glad all is well.
As for crazy stories I'm fresh out for now. sorry!

I can't think of anything right off that is weird that I've seen or heard. He should have been riding on the shoulder of the road and not in the middle of the road where cars drive so fast. He could have gotten hit and killed and the horse could have too. I hope he made it to his destination safely.

Well, this wasn't on the road, but it was strange and weird. I had the blinds in front of my patio door open, and it was raining. It was in the afternoon, so there was enough light to see, even though the sky was overcast. So I'm sitting on my couch thinking how grateful I am that I wasn't caught outside in this weather, when a muscle bound man in black shortS, and no shirt comes running from the direction I cannot see, all the way to the other side of my patio. And he's looking in the corridor where the stairs are. I'm like, what? So after he looks there for a while, he streaks back the other way. And behind my apartment complex, where I was facing, it is just a bunch of trees and flowers. No road. So I was like, uh...OK.

these kind of strang thing is very common,everyone may come across,maybe it is a natural situation,sometimes i t can't descripe by science.

I've done this before. Not on purpose though and this guy probably wasn't doing it on purpose either. Sometimes a horse will spook around cars and just take off running. Since there are other cars around and the horse is trying run away from them they just keep running. It's a bad situation for everyone. The horse, the rider, and the motorists. Scary stuff. It's only happened to me once and I never want to experience it again. It's called a runaway.

I guess I will not be very creative. I do think it strange, and possibly illegal that he was riding on a road where the normal speeds are that high. We have someone who regularly rides through some of our downtown parks and around tha main section of our town, every evening at about six in the evening. That is all that your story brings to my mind, other than the wildlife I see lots of evenings. Fox, racoons, and possums. They do not realize that they are unusual, they are just doing what comes naturally to them.

I saw a man get arrested for drunk driving as he delievered newspapers up at the farm on horseback. he was riding all over the road and not on the shoulder or grassy area. I have no idea what happedneed other than a lot of people didn't get their newspapers that morning.

On the Island where I live (The Isle Of Wight) there is a wax museum of various wax models. To promote it they have an open top car made like the Bat Mobile with "The Brading Wax Museum" written on the side. In the Height of summer they used to send a man dressed as Henry The Eighth driving it around.
So the strangest thing I ever saw was Henry the eighth driving the Bat Mobile through Ryde.

We don't have too many strange things on our roads. However, I do loathe when I see tractors on the road. Especially in the morning during rush hour traffic anyhow! Hey let's drive a vehicle that only goes about 10mph when everyone else is trying to drive like 40! bah!
