How come none of the new user discussions make any sense?

Would love to respond but... - Okay then welcome to myLot and the discussion is?

Have you read some of them? I was like going to answer some of them but I don't understand what they are saying or even what they are trying to come across as. Is it just me or some kind of language barrier that I am experiencing. Gee I would love to welcome them to myLot, but is there another question there that I am missing? Would love to respond..... but?

Yes I have read a few and they are hard to understand. There is a language barrier and one can't respond to the discussion if you don't know what they're really saying or saying at all. I guess all you can do is respond to it with a welcome to mylot however, there is a language barrier in which I don't understand what you are saying so I can't contribute in anyway other than to say welcome.

I'm sorry but your title really made me laugh..I thought I was the only one who felt this way...and I'm basically new to myLot....All I can say is I don't think too many newcomers really check out the site before they ask questions to get answers. I went through the FAQ a few times before I even posted, and did a search for many answers to my questions. I love helping new people (even though I'm new myself) but you have to help yourself a little too. I'm so glad you asked this question, I don't feel alone now.

Great and welcome to myLot, glad you could join our little family and be a part of every day discussions that earn a little chump change. I earn about $10 every other month if I am lucky I try to stay on top of the new discussions and lay in bed a night thinking of new questions? But I love to explore "MY FRIENDS" questions and respond to them as well. The longer the discussion the better and double spaces seem to be a little trick someone told me about when i first joined, but never really took advantage of very much. Well it's 330 time to punch out.

Simply because they still don't know what to do here, so most of the time I do what I can to help others. Especially those who ask about mylot, I would happily lend a help for newbies to share the knowledge on how and what to do. I only look at them as me, when I started here then pass to them whatever I learned from those who taught me.

That is exactly why I really haven't started any discussions yet. LoL! I have no idea what to even talk about. Maybe one day I'll think of something worth sharing...but hasn't happened yet. -shrugs-

You speak coherently. Looking through some of the new user discussions, you don't get a lot of that.

I know exactly what you mean, i try to read some as well and most of the time the discussions are just one liners that isn't a question or anything you can even respond too. I guess they don't know that you don't get paid for short discussions that nobody is going to respond to. They probably just need to get adjusted and look at other people's posts and learn from there.

Some people, like myself, are not necessarily chatters and look to the ones that are more experienced to guide them or even make them feel comfortable. For example, I am interested in making money online and from that topic I meet a person that is a firly new mom like myself and I feel I can communicate to her with more than just working from home. So if you have any suggestions for new users, help us or critic us but please do not bash us:):):) Thanks, A NEW USER

I think the problem are the new users who don't speak English very well. So as hard as we try, we can't answer because we do not understand. The problem is not because new users aren't interesting, some just aren't coherent.

I haven't noticed much of a problem with the new user discussions making sense, I have however noticed that the topics are a little repetative with them. My guess is that they are under the impression that they'll make big bucks by starting various discussions, even if they are meaningless.

Well the reason is that they are joining here thinking they can just write any stupid thing and will get paid that is why I just do not bother at all as I know it is a waste of time They need to start reading the Guidelines and then start

I try to respond to at least two new user discussions everyday, but it takes forever! I try to understand what they meant to say and go with that. I think the difficulty lies in the language barrier and the inexperience of the new users. Once they get the hang of it all they will all be good Mylotters!

Sometimes it is a language barrier, or if they are english speaking, just a lot of laziness. Other times the new people do not know what to talk about. Also, they end up with little or no responses because no one here really knows them, or their topics aren't that interesting. I always recommend that new people at least get 100 responses before even attempting a topic of their own. This way they can see what topics are getting responses and what to do on mylot. I maybe wrong since I'm still newbie myself ;p

It is because like when I first started you are not used to what is acceptable here and what is not. Older users have taught me the principles of what it takes for a post to be good and what it takes to make money. Then the posts become more interesting and you make more friends this way.

I know what you are talking about. You have to search the pages for a coherent topic in the new user section. I think most of the problem is non English speaking people are joining more and more, and they don't have great command of the English language. Other ones I think are fairly young people trying to join, when they haven't even made it through junior high and the like. At least I hope that is the case. I'd hate to think a full grown adult speaks so poorly.

Oh my, ...I am not sure if i am one of them. Anyway i am new member in this website. Im starting to learn something and i am not a good writer. My discussions base on what i feel and what i want to express. And i think its really some kind of language barrier. i guess. :)
