I am handfeeding 4 baby Half Moon Conures, and have found that mine are much nippier than any other baby birds we have raised and handfed. I am wondering if anyone knows if this is a common trait in these Conures. If any other breeders are on here, I would certainly appreciate your input.

Adult half moon conures don't seem to be biters much at all, generally. I would be suprised their chicks would be nippier than most only to grow up to not nip much at all

I agree.....as these babies are getting older, I'm not having near as much trouble. I think it was mainly because of the 4 being all together, in the same cage! In other words, let's see who can bite Mom's hand first to get fed. LOL

I wouldn't have thought that. They seem to be so docile. I know the green cheeks get nippy quickly if you don't play with them every day after weaning. Learned that from experience, but sometimes you can't help it when you have a full time job too! Good luck with the babies!
