My son's Autistic. I considered home schooling, but I don't think I could meet his needs myself. If you do choose to go the homeschool route, make sure to talk to your childs doctor about how much speech, physical and occupational therapy he/she needs. Also, you should look into play groups or social activities that your child can do, and make it regular (a few times a week) so that there's plenty of opportunity to develop social skills.
Just remember that structure is key. Make sure that you map out every single school days schedule and stick to it precisely. Without that, and Autistic child is less likely to learn as well as they can.

My son was recently diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome, which is a mild form of autism. I'm not homeschooling him yet, but I may in the future. We haven't decided for sure one way or the other.

I have an autistic child too. I'm sorry I am not aware of anyone doing home schooling but I will keep a look put for you.
