there could be several reasons for this, which I will go into for you.
I will type it up in ascending order that you should check;
1) temporary internet files, this folder always accumulates junk so clean that out, as it could probably be low disk space on your computer thus reducing the performance of your computer.
2) low disk space, if this is the problem, you can back up your data either on disk, or use an online storage site that will allow you to upload your files.
3) Run a Defrag, chances are that if you have not done so, but have used your computer a lot, then your hard drive would become fragmented, this reduces the performance of your computer.
4) Download lavasofts adaware and spybot search and destroy and do a adware scan.
5) do an antivirus scan on your computer, I would personally recommend using avast antivirus as it is free, but one of the best av suites I find.
6) if you find that your computer is still slow, download memtest86 and run it, this will test your memory, and report the findings back to you.
7) if all else fails, back up your data, and reformat using NTFS not FAT32.
I have posted it like this in a way that will ensure that you will find out the problem before having to do the damned reformat, and I hope that this is able to help you. All the best my friend :)

There could be a number of reasons. The most common are
1. Overheating - check if the CPU fans are working properly, and your system is placed in a cool space with sufficient air around it.
2. Insufficient RAM - if you're multitasking, then make sure the system resources are not being entirely used up. If possible, upgrade your Ram to something higher. You can also try freeing up some hard disk space.
3. Malicious software, virus, spyware - Use a good anti-virus program that would deal with those.
4. Programs not getting updated - use the software updates whenever the system prompts. The updates carry new patches which fix the problems with the previous issues.
5. Detecting specific programs or installations - notice when the system suddenly slows down. Is it after you run any particular application or after you connect to the net. Make a note of it.
Last but not the least, try keeping your system dust-free, and use the system tools regularly to keep it clean and arranged.

There are a lot of reasons. In many cases you have too many pictures on your computer. Pictures needs many memory and it is better that you put them on a cd. If you want to keep some of them on your computer reduce the large of your picture
Other reasons are spyware, temporary internet files, spyware.
