I was very pleased to read that the will of the late, great singer, Luciano Pavarotti has been made public. My reason for this is due to the fact that there has been rumors that he was having trouble in his second marriage and that his adult daughters were dissatisfied with his wishes. I don't know why the media can't leave people alone! His daughters are a class act, and so is his wife. She has made the contents of his will public to put an end to all the wild speculation. He left half to his wife, and half two his 4 daughters. It has been estimated that he was worth $275 million, but that is not for certain. I'm just glad the family seem to be happy with the way things were settled.

I understand why she made the will public to shut people up,but I feel that it was none of peoples business. Peoples private lives should be off limits to the press. Everyone has the right to privacy. Let his family mourn him in peace.

You are right, of course, lightningMD, but that will never happen in a society that is driven by the need to know every little detail of people's private lives.

Just another reason why I loathe the media. People's private lives should be just that, private.

At least it wasn't anything nuts and the media hasn't been too vulture like on this subject. Now that the real legal business is out of the way, the media should let the great talent get the final rest he deserves. And the media should leave the surviving family to peace and long life.
