What do you rate ppl on mylot?

I rate everyone positively if they attempt to contribute to the discussion with an on-topic response. I don't rate anyone negatively for disagreeing with me, even though that has happened to me. I know exactly who disagreed with me so vehemently that they went on a negative-rating spree which cost me my 10 rating and now I am at 9. But even then, I did not go and rate this person negatively, however, when people try to game the system that way, I do not rate them at all. I just don't rate their response either way. I guess my philosophy is "do no harm". However, I may give the very occasional negative rating if someone is breaking the rules very openly or is leaving off-topic responses on purpose. I said I may, but I haven't yet. I believe there can be no real discussion unless people post varying opinions and views. It would be counterproductive to good and spirited debate to try to punish those whose views are different from your own. People who do this are not really interested in discussion, they are simply venting their own opinions and don't like being disagreed with. I would rather be disagreed with than be disagreeable, so I welcome all opinions and hope that no one takes offense when I debate them in a reasonable and rational manner.

Positives if they actually contribute something and if I see a real discussion going on. Nothing if nothing of merit is going on. Negative if you are distasteful, rule breaking or out of line vile to others.

Hi there, what's been up to lately buddy? Well i am rating positive or negative the people here if i think that he or she deserves that rate. Like if the person made a good response or discussion, then i would to rate them positive coz they deserves it. But i don't actually bother to rate people negatively.
