I have had the Xray done and there is nothing showing on the Xray it all looks well there (Amazing how my Body looks on the Inside lol)
Anyway that is not the end of it as they want to get to the Bottom of this
The MRI Scan is going to be the very last resort now and if it has to be done then I will be sedated for it
I now have to see another Specialist on 16th October who basically will try me on Medications once he has looked everything over and has made his conclusions If that does not work then I will be sent to another Specialist and her team which again will do tests and that and I will then receive Treatments with Injections
And if that does not work then it will be the dreaded MRI Scan
My Specialist told me this morning we are looking at up to 12 Months treatments with all this and if nothing works then they will go deeper into things
I do still have inflamed Tissues which we saw on the Xray but he said they would not cause the Pain that bad as they are certainly getting better which I know as the Pain in the Leg is getting better but not on my Hip and back
I am not looking forward to all this testing as I went through 15 months of Testing when I first got Diagnosed with my Lungs but I suppose I will have to and hope that they will find out what is causing all this
He did warn me today that if the Pain travels any further to my Back I will have to inform them straight away
So that is the outcome of today

When I have to get an MRI they always have to use the open one with me. Even with a sedative I could never get into that thing. I realize all this testing really sux but it's something you have to do to find out how to treat your problems. good luck!

Oh, I´m so glad that your Xray turned out alright. That´s one good thing.
All the testing you´re going to have to put up with sounds dreadful, I can imagine how you feel. The waiting around for the results and all the insecurity must be difficult to handle. It´s certainly not something to look forward to but I´m sure you´re going to make it, because you´re much stronger then you think :-)).
Hugs

Sounds like you are keeping the docs and specialists employed Gabs. Let's try this and let's try that. Hopefully your treatments will be helpful. Big huggers to you.

Hi Gabs - well thanks so much for the update. At least you know there is nothing wrong with the bones that can be seen on the X-ray, which has got to be a great relief I would think. I know the tests aren't muchfun, but at least they wil help get to the bottom of things, and the MRI Scan looks to be unlikely at this stage. Take care of yourself my sweet.

When I have to have a MRI done, I remind myself that it is only for a few minutes of my time. I do relaxation techniques before and during the scan. I remind myself to breathe properly. I concentrate on other things. For you, concentrate on Gissi. He and his image in your head will help you get through things. I am so sorry you have to do more testing. I do hope the doctors will be able to find the cause of the problems so they can help you much more. Thank you for letting us know what is happening.

Well, it's good news that nothing is showing on the Xray of any importance. Let's just hope they can sort the problem out before you get to the point of having to undergo an MRS Scan. I know this has been bothering you.
I can't help but feel that the pain in your back is caused by you having to sit a certain way or walk a certain way to avoid the hip and leg pain, but I'm no doctor. I just hope that it's nothing more serious than the tissue which they seem to be conquering.
Brightest Blessings, love and hugs. xx

Wow, I do hope you can get "fixed" I know how bad unknown pain can be, especially when the doctors are stumped too. I am afraid to go to the doctor myself. I went for a Hepatitis shot and left with blood pressure/cholesterol medicine. If I go for my knee/back/ovary pains, surely I will come out with something else as well..lol. In all seriousness my thoughts and prayers are with you in hopes your health returns. (((hugs)))

Usually for pain threads I say to take it easy and to up the nutrition side of it. B, C, D Vitamins, Potassium, Manganese, Calcium and reasonable iron in the diet. Other than that I do hope things turn out even better Gabs, living with pain is the pits. If its a flame pain and not a numbness I'm not as well versed on that. It definitely needs some treatment. If its a stinging and/or numbness then it might be potassium and nutrient deficiency. Either way, you should definitely research all options so you can get over this problem in an adequate manner.

Hi Gabs!
Best of luck to you honey. What exactly is wrong there? Sounds like the symptoms I had when I herniated my L-5 Disc. Ive had my share of MRI Scans,(I herniated it 9 times in 11 years)how come they didnt sedate me?! I had to lie there in extreme pain with them telling me to lie still, they cant get the right images if I dont. Well I wasnt doing it, my muscles were spastic and moving on all their own! The torn disc was pushing on my spinal cord and nerves and caused pain down my right leg and my right hip. And they wanted me to lie still flat on my back for 30 mins sometimes over an hour.
I sure hope they can get this sorted for you and soon!!
My prayers are with you!! Hugs!!

I have to be sedated because I am Claustaphobic and as I have COPD Emphasimia Bronchitias in other word Lungs that do not work I could die if I get in a state and panic
My Lungs will not be able to handle it that is why they would have to sedate me
The Discs are ok he showed me that on the Xray today everything is in order
Hugs xxx

I slipped and fell right on my behind. I had pain going through my lower back, hip and all the way down my leg. After several months of 'therapy' and several doctors, X-rays and MRI's, they could find nothing 'wrong'. I finally stood up to one doctor and told him I could no longer live like this! He then had yet another test performed -- a 'discogram'. This involved placing needles through my side and putting fluid on my actual vertebra and disc. There were three questionable discs. When the got to the third one, the nurse about had to peel me off the ceiling -- and I was full of morphine!?!? They then determined that I had no disc at all in that area. Anyway, to make a long story short, this was the only test that actually determined what was wrong. Keep pushing your doctor. If he cannot help, find one that will!!

Thanks for keeping us informed, we do think about you and you know we are all there for you. I know sometimes we don't like what we hear but it's always best to know what is going to happen and be told the truth. I hate it when doctors, specialists etc hold things back and keep us in a dark like mushrooms! Hugs xxx

Glad to hear that the news is better than what was expected. I hope that you don't have to go through so much testing to get to the bottom of the problem or that your pain doesn't spread and become more intense, but well whatever shall happen you will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. (((hugs))) Get Well Soon!!

They didn't see anything on my knee xrays either. It wasn't until the MRI that they found a couple of problems. The physical therapy has helped some. I am avoiding surgery for the tear, at least for now. Hopefully they will get this figured out and find a way to relieve the pain.

I am sorry to hear about all of the testing your having to go through. Our bodies are such mysteries! I hope that they get to the root of the problem soon and it doesn't require all of that further extensive searching and testing. I know what a hassle it is and how tiring it is. My prayers are with you gabs and keep us updated on your progress!

Gabs I am so sorry to hear that you are in so much pain. I hate to here when one of my friends are hurting. I am lucky in a sense, I am ill and they do not know what I have but I do not suffer from pain.
I am keeping you on my prayer list.
Hugs and kisses
