I went to the surgeon yesterday and I have to go and get traction a couple times a week then have another MRI and if it didnt pull the disc off the nerve its laying on then I will have to have surgery. He put me medicine that makes me really tired. But it helps with the pain. So thats were I stand. But if the pain should get unbearable he would have to surgery right away. There is a possibility without the surgery I could become paralized. When I walked out the office I was in such shock. I want to thank everyone for your prayers. And please continue to pray that the traction will work and I wont need surgery. I love you guys.

Hopefully the traction will work for you. I know many who have had surgery on their back and came out with flying colors. They had to wear a back brace following the surgery and also have therapy too. I hope all works out for you. Biggest huggers to you.

Sorry to hear that it is not going to be a quick fix. Good luck with the traction. I hope you don't have to have surgery.

Thank you for giving us the update on your back! I am still praying for you and really hope that the traction will work and you won't need any surgery. My mother has two worn discs and she needs to take pain medicine too. She wants to have surgery but the doctor says he doesn't recommend it because of her age (she is 70 years old). God bless you and keep in touch!

You better believing I'm praying here for you TerryZ that the traction will work...Mmm..you must be on heavy duty painkillers that probably make you feel like you're a bit in the twilight zone..LOL --but if they're a minimizing the pain that's good. I was thinking about you all day yesterday (Tuesday) Kept thinking and wondering how you were...So once again..my prayers are there for you!(((((Hugs)))))

So Im just taking the pain medicine during the day time which it doesnt have too much effect on me. Then right before I go to bed I will take the knock out pills.heheheheheheh Thanks for thinking of me. I do believe we are sisters.heheheheheh Hugs back to you

Well, I guess that is some hope, but not as much as you would like. I really hop the traction works. I had it for my neck, but I imagine it is way more intensive for the back.

Terry I am so sorry you are going through this. I will definitely pray for you. Keep us updated on your condition. I hope you do not have to have this surgery. My husband is also going through this right now believe it or not. About 6 weeks ago he was loading some "free" used power poles from our power company and ruptured a disc in his back. He has been to the local family doc, the chiropractor, the neuro doc, epidural shot in his spine, now we are having the nerve conduction test next week and if nerve damage is occurring, surgery. So we can certainly understand what you are going through. Besides missing work and the finances, the pain is awful. I will definitely keep you in my prayers.

You are in my thoughts and prayers Terry, I had to go through traction while at physio too, and luckily it helped with me. Here's praying this works for you too and that you will be healed soon :) HUGS! The thought of surgery scared the hell out of me so I know what you're going through.

I hear you Terry. More prayers are being sent your way. Don't strain needlessly either. I know you want traction to work, but I'm still saying not to overdo it.
