Many people have complained about the cursing which seems to be a staple of rap music. Many people including teens listen to it and play it loudly. After the infamous Imus problem some people began to question rap lyrics. Now a grammy winning rap star(whome I have never heard of)Chamillion has released a new cd without curse words. This was something he felt he needed to do. What do you think about it? Will other rap and hip-hop artists take note? Will it make any difference to the rap/hip-hop culture?

I think it is a courageous move on his part. He may not get the airplay or the sales but maybe things will change. They always do. Thanks.

I think the music should stay. Dont you people get it! it's not the music or the movies. It is the individual it makes no difference what you like or dislike. A killer is a killer with or without his ipod he is still a killer. For these guys its in their head before they turned on the tunes they were thinking of hatred.

You people? Yes they may be thinking of hatred before the tunes were in their heads, but many (not all) glorify the the elements of hatred and disrespect. Those who listen to this type of lyric are subjected to the ideas put forth in these lyrics. The fact that a rap star chooses not to degrade others with certain lyrics is, to me, admirable.
