How much do you remember from school? This test was given to over 14000 college students as a test of how well colleges in the USA are doing their jobs. Not too well it turns out. The average score was just over 50%. Take the test if you dare.

I was shocked that I got 55 of 60 or 91.66%. How about yourself? Do you dare?

Here are my results...that is with a high school education and a couple of lucky guesses.
"You answered 40 out of 60 correctly — 66.67 %"
Some of those questions I have not seen since high school, and a few I have never seen.
So if college kids are scoring just over 50%, then what the hell are they teaching them?

I suspect they are being taught liberal platitudes and Marx.

I got 54, not too horrible i guess. I agrea there needs to be much more emphasis on this in school. too much in the way of "feel good" courses and not nearly enough solid knowlage being taught. I think a course on the constitution, declaration of independence and federalist papers should be required for jumiors or seniors in high school, before kids are of age to vote.

You youngsters scoring in the 50's on that test is pretty darn good. But remember, I'm almost a senior citizen and have been out of school a very long time.
The federalist papers! You know, I was never required to read them. I read them on my own to learn the true meaning of the 2d admendment. It really is an individual right and meant as a last resort check on our government to prevent it from becoming tryancial. I think Alexander Hamilton wrote the appropiate paper. #19? or 29? I forget!

I have to laugh...
I'm not american but..
"You answered 57 out of 60 correctly"
People who know me may say: "That doesn't surprise me that much since I know that you are a fanatic of american history and the *american culture* ..."
;)
But isn't it always like this?
If you HAVE to learn something - you don't want to do it and you often can't remember you ever learned it after some years...

Congratulations! You did better than most American college students. A lot better. Too bad you aren't American so you could vote in our elections and cancel out some nicompoop's vote.

Without the knowledge of history, politics, ... etc it is too easy for lying 2 faced, mealy mouthed, double crossing, scum bag politicians to lead you astray and cause you to miscast your vote not in your own best interest.

I am not agree with you.
It is not nessesary that if you are first during your exam than you will be ahead in race of life!!!
Some people are also there who didn't take their education properly, they are not good as stodent, in life they are ahead of all those in the race of life. Examples: Dhiru bhai Ambani - Boss of Reliance Co. He didn't take his education. Though he is a king of industries.
