Things that you can do to free up space are emptying your recycle bin, removing Windows temporary file, temporary browser's file, uninstall program that you didnt use anymore etc. Second, try to detect and repair any disk errors. Windows have a built-in Error Checking utility Third, run Disk Defragmenter And lastly, try to eliminate any spyware using 3rd part anti-spyware such as from Lavasoft or Spybot.
