Crickets killed my lizard!

Many of you know I rescued a lizard a while ago, and it's been good. But...a few days ago I discovered that the crickets I put in his cage for him to eat killed him! They ate through his bad eye, into his head! Sorry I know it's gross, but I was so upset!
I've had him for months, and he was healthy. He had fresh water and a good cage. But those dang crickets killed him! I was so upset :( I was already attached to him.

Wow, sorry that happened. Uh, next time maybe crush up or get the crickets prekilled. Our 6th grade class had a lizard and we usually got a bug mix for him, nothing moving and the lizard enjoyed it.
Maybe get another one lizard when you feel up to it. It seems like you have a lot of love to give to pets.

Man, I'm almost traumatized just listening to your story! It reminds me of the time my friend went to pick up her hermit crab, and when she picked it up, it fell out of its shell. She screamed bloody murder. Both of those situations would freak me out. I guess I'm a wimp.
