Is a lettuce diet safe?

I am starting yet another little diet trend. I am going to be eating lettuce that comes out of the salad bags. For some strange reason I have been eating lettuce out of the bag like crazy. I am just topping it off with bacon bits and salad dressing. Or replace one of my lettuce meals with a V-8 juice. On top of that I am taking supplements. Anywho I am just wondering if this is safe to do? And how much weight will I lose?

A few years ago I went to a naturapath and he said tha particular supplement had been banned here and he couldn't really understand why as he said what it is that they are worried about is actually in lettuce but he said you would have to eat a lot of lettuce for it to be dangerous so I think with everything moderation is good...

Please stop with the diets. Unless a docter has advised you to because of over weight health problems. If that is the case he would provide the instructions. Dont make your own diets and try them out because in the end you might just be really damamging your body. To tell you the truth if you think your fat ur usually not unless someone tell you the truth. So just relax with the diet please!

Sweetie you will still be losing out n essential nutirents, supplements are there to help you're nit getting enough not to worka miricle you need a balance diet and most of all breakfast . If you are trying to get sick you can go ahead you can eat in smaller portions but most of all eat breakfast.

Nothing wrong with eating plenty of lettuce, but you need a balanced diet with lots of other fruits and vegetables. Try adding other veggies you like to the salad, maybe some chopped up chicken for protein.

You eatting habits are wrong. You are eatting out of a lettuce BAG because you are not taking care of yourself properly. You know that you aren't but it seems you're not ready to stop these diets and just take the time to take care of your body. Exercise and healthy foods are the way to take care of your body. Yes, V8 is good but is V8 what you want to be eatting or drinking the rest of your life? Take care of yourself. Start changing the way you are thinking/acting in certain situations. Making small changes really help over time. How much are you overweight?

The Eat to Live diet is essentially this. The writer believes mixed greens are the perfect food. He says eat as much as you can and you'll lose weight fast. Joe

Diets like that never work because once you start eating regularly again the weight just comes back. Trend diets aren't healthy, and seem like a waste of time in the end. The real way to lose weight is portion control and exercise. I know that seems like a drag, but once you get use to eating well it comes as a habit. I'm not quite to the habit part yet, but I know in the past the method I'm talking about helped me lose thirty pounds. If I could get back on that band wagon again I know I could lose the rest of the weight I want to lose. You don't lose the weight really quick but over time. It's the best way in my opinion. Good luck and be careful with those diet fads!
