Actually rating ttlly depends on many things!
Such as your activity in the forum!
means are you active in the forum or not!
Your quality of post means if you have replied quality answer or not!
And last but not the least is the "+" and "-" rating given for each response!
As you can see this sign at the below of every post!
And really it is important to give this to every post!
means have you liked the post or not!
best of luck!

Actually i think not exactly what you told as i was not active here in mylot for 1-2 month and as a result i found my rating went to 3 from 8
Thats why i think activity here in Mylot is very important for keep your stars 10 or 9!
So best of luck!

Hi there, what's been up to lately buddy?
Well, yeah our Star Rating is based on our discussion's rating and also based on our responses to other's discussions.
Have a nice day ahead and happy posting and earning here in myLot.
Ciao,

Yep, it just depends on who rates you negative or positive and how many do it. Also, some people forget to vote while others with a vendetta and a lot of time on their hands can easily vandalize a rating. Plus one is able to make multiple accounts or dummy accounts and continue to rate people negative (thats also a good part of why some people can't get out of their low star ratings =/)
