A friend of mine is going through a really hard time at the moment. Her little girl has been admitted to hospital urgently, as her white bloodcells are high and her body isnt fighting off infection. She is only 2 1/2. They thought it was lymph nodes, but have ruled that out, but on monday they are are doing more tests, and they will also be checking for leukeimia. It is so hard to know what to say, in this situation. You can be their to listen, offer help, but you can see it is tearing them apart inside. I am praying everything will be alright, and they get good news.

Tell your friend that I am thinking about them. I know what is like. I lost my brother a year ago, and I know what you all are going through. I have been there.

This happens to me too kay...either i can';t find the right words or they are just inadequate in most situations...like now. I've missed you thee last few days and wondered if everything is ok with you and the young one staying with you. If the little ones white blood cells are high it means she is bravely battling whatever is attacking her. It's really good if you are able to be there asnd offer any help needed, but I think parents really need to go through suffering when their children are ill. It's like energy that they are transferring to their little one. I hope everything is better by now, i'm a little behind, and I hope things are good with you too. Best wishes to you my friend .

Thanks Tickle, I am alright. Just really busy with the little one (she is being a handfull) and getting the cafe ready. My friends little one has gone for more tests at a bigger hospital, as the one near us is only small, and hasnt got as many resources. Hopefully all will work out. Hope your keeping well, and everything is fine. Best wishes to you and thanks for your response

All you can do is be there for your friends. Even if you say nothing and are just there to offer help or prayer, it is appreciated. I hope they find out what is going on. Poor baby! I know it has to be tearing them up inside and they have to be ok in front of their baby so they don't worry her so much. Oh, wow, what a situation. I will pray for this family and hopefully things will turn out to be ok for them.

GOD WILL hear our cry for the innocent girl and relieve her of her sufering. those of us far away, our support is prayer. halleluyah God heal this girl from all her sickness and she'll praise and glorify your name, in Jesus'name. Im sorry to hear about your friends little girl. In situations like this it is very hard to know what to say. You always know that no matter what you say it wont make them feel better. Im sure you just being there for your friend will make her feel better that she has someone to lean on. I will keep the little girl in my thoughts and prayers.

The best thing you can do for your friend at this point is just to be there for her. Let her do the talking and you just follow her lead.

You've got someone else wishing the little girl well. If I think of anything healthwise or medically I'll post it. Do the doctors know what type of leukocytes are being over produced? If its just one it might be a common condition. For example basophils are for allergy infections and help with that condition. I do hope the tests can shed more light on this though.

Thank you programer for your wishes. I dont think they know what leukocytes are being over produced. Hopefully the tests they are going torun during the week will work it out. They will probably need to go to a bigger hospital though, as we only have limited resources here. Best wishes to you, and thanks for your response

You are a good friend kayrod2! Just for being there with your friend as she pass through those trials, having a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on, praying for her, are already enough actions in which no words can ever be compared. She is blessed to have you as a friend. God bless you and your friend esp. her child.
