tired of the same old horror movies that's all about the graphics, gore, and special effects? well 1408 will keep you in suspense and get you thinking at the same time. based on stephen king's novel, 1408 is about a man who seeks to debunk mysteries in life, only to find that the mystery he needs is his own life itself. i soooo love this movie! what do you guys think?

I heard it was based on a short story by Stephen King. When it came out it got so-so reviews, but I kind of wanted to see it anyway. The only thing is that I don't like John Cusack. Is he good in this movie though? I would like to see it if it really is a new spin on an old genre. I like anything that has a mind of its own, including movies.

It's really a mind-boggling experience to watch this movie from the beginning to the end. A character who had a lot of guts but in the end succumb to his own fear.

I didnt have much expectation for this film as most films based on books are normally rubbish, but i was supprised i liked it allot very different from most horror films, i liked the fact that samual l jackson wasnt in it much too because he bores me.

thanks for responding.
some books when adopted to film does lose a lot of its essence, but i have to say i really liked this one. hmmmmm....i really like samuel l. jackson - with that i would have to disagree. have you tried watching lucky number slevin? it's a great movie with josh hartnett, bruce willis, and samuel l. jackson.
