My struggle is being alone for 8 hours..plus I arrive here winter, another adjustment, dont know anyone much, places are too far that i need car and wait til I'll have driver's license and all..Its hard but, in the long run im sure I will be able to adjust fully..It takes time and this is not forever!

The biggest problem living in the other country that i still need to adapt the environment, custom, and culture here. The food... its the number one prob. I should eat food that i dont really like... its just sold there, no choice. I have no kitchen in my dormitory so i cant cook my indonesian food... I'm stay far away from family makes me feel homesick!!!

I would love to live abroad, but my biggest issue would be wheelchair access and getting personal care assistance while I was living there. Of course, I'd miss people to and be lonely. But that wouldn't be be my biggest issue.

Well, perhaps we could find out some other ways to spending our time when we feel alone. We could do some sports or playing with friends which will help us forget to the loneliness. If when we are homesick, we could make calls to them.

I agree being far away from your family is the toughest part. Adjusting to the climate can also be difficult. It's very hot in the Philippines, so if I live in the United States I will have a problem with the winter season.

good for me i was able to fight with the loneliness and homesickness. it was the Chinese food that was hard for me to deal with before. it took months before i was able to adjust and adapt the taste of those Chinese foods. The biggest problem I encountered living in a different country was the crab mentality of my fellow Filipino workers. That was the reason why I never came back to work in Taiwan.
