If you had one week left on this earth, what would you do?

If you had one week left on this earth and you could do anything during that week, what would you do? Would you travel? Would you stay with someone you loved? Would you quickly "put your affairs in order?" I think I would tell my husband to take the week off from work and we would go to Hawaii. Just before we took off, I think I would go to the funeral home and decide on everything so he wouldn't have to. He could pack for us while I was there. What would you do?

Hi Writersedge, such a good question you pose here :) And I like the holiday with my partner too, but it will depend how good is my health, as I would go and do it only if I am healthy enough for us to enjoy it :) For the very last day I'll set up a huge party with all my relatives and best friends that I have as I would like to hug each and every one of them. and how uch I love and appreciated them, and ask forgiveness for the times that I have hurt some of them. Than the very last moments I'd love to spend with my partner only. :) TheFortunes

I would spend one day talking to all the people in my life, all my family and friends and. Then the next six days I would spend with my mother traveling and trying to do all the things I've always wanted to do. I'd eat all my favorite foods and go to my favorite restaurants.

My Mother did something like that. She knew she would probably die the following year, but she didn't tell us. We went to Alaska, on a cruise of the inside passage together, so your ideas, I can attest to, are terrific ones.

That's good you had that time together. I'm sure it meant a lot to all of you especially your mother. I've always wanted to go on an Alaskan cruise that must have been awesome.

It was awesome! I originally didn't want to go because I didn't have the money, but I didn't realize what she was asking/why. Wouldn't trade those memories for all the gold in the world.

Being I have life insurance, I know my family is covered there, but I would go to the furneral home and having everything arranged so no one has to deal with it. I would spend one day doing just that and getting other affairs in order. Other then that, I would spend each and every day with my two children. They love so much when we take blanket tents in the living room and watch movies and snuggle. That is what I would do, all day, every day. Anything they wanted from me, I would give them.

That is very beautiful. It's good that you have life insurance. Many people don't. It's thoughtful of you to take care of everything, many people don't. Tents, movies, and snuggling, that is so poignant and adorable, thank you for the post.

well, i just think that, thats the best thing i can do on my last week here on earth... aside from spending it from your love ones.. we should forgive people who hurt us and ask forgiveness to those we hurt... by then we can leave the earth in peace and ready to face HIM

When I was in my teens I wrote Eulogy, and it was basically that. Interesting that you also thought of this.

Since my will and all other paperwork are done, I would take my whole family to a nearby resort where we could have a choice of dozens of great things to do, and somewhere in that time I would have front-row seats to the best concert in the world, because I've pledged to do that, and I WILL do that... before I'll agree to go quietly!!

A resort would be great, have fun and not have to do the cooking and cleaning, just have fun. Cool idea!

I think that I would like to spend my last week on a tropical island with my whole family. I would want to be surrounded by all the people that I love in a beautiful place where we could just enjoy ourselves. We could eat, drink and be merry. It would be nice that way.

Party your way to the end with people you love. Nice choice, I like it. On the tropical island no distractions or worries. Good choices.

If I had one week left on this earth, I'd want to spend the time with my husband. We just got married a couple of weeks ago, but because of things we have to work out in our respective countries, we are apart. I am home in Canada for a while, and he is still in Arizona.

Yes, I've heard about the crazy time here and time there thing. A friend of mine's daughter just got married to a Canadian guy and it's really made a mess of things.

I would walk over a bed of hot coals, bungee jump, skydive, pet a flamingo, test drive a ferrari, tickle a cranky person, go into a movie theater and yell 'fire', and find a loving home for my two dogs.

heaven - i would do something for charity so i would go to heaven
Definitely spend time with my loved ones. We've pretty much done a significant amount of traveling already, so no need to travel or go on a spending binge. All I want is to let them feel how much I love and appreciate them. Also I would try to do something for charity or "good deeds" so I would go to heaven. That's my belief: Do good and you will be rewarded.

One week seems a little less especially I have so much on my mind now. I think I would spend it with my friends and my boyfriend. I would give them the best laughs, tell them the best jokes, cook the greatest meals...etc. Just everything I could do to make them happy and have the best memories of us spending time together.

I would want to go sky diving. I want to use a jet pack. I would want to walk on stilts. I would want to fall from a place that is very high and land on a cusion like the stunt doubles do when filming a movie.

I will continue with my daily routine, love all and doing nothing which puts anybody to inconvenience. All human beings are the image of God. You love the image and you love the reality. Your words and actions should not inconvenience others. This is what I have been trying to do all my life and would continuing to do in one week before I leave to meet my creator.

Interesting. My family is really into inconviencing me. Sometimes that's a pain, but I wouldn't have them any other way. Well, I guess we both have different ways of looking at things. Take care.

After taking care of the good-byes and I love you to my family members, I have a couple of friends that live across the US. I have to see them before I go. Both have played a big part in my life and I would need to see them both one more time. Then it would be a quick trip back home to catch one final sunrise if there was time. 7
