I think it is not yet recommended for children's at that age to drink sodas or colas. I believe it has harmful contents, like caffeine and other additives. Water and milk are still best for babies, as these are still the foods his body can digest and tolerate.

Yeah the caffiene would not be good for such a young child.
I am 53 and the caffiene gives me the shakes ever so often.

I would not advice it, cola's are quite caustic and it could be harmful to his little stomach. He likes to do as Mommy and Daddy do, that is normal - maybe have some juice or water nearbye to offer him when he indicates he wants what you are drinking?

I don't think it is a good idea. I saw children drinking coca cola tends to be more hyper than those who don't. They are so active and up always. better give them the right drink that is meant for them. And besides too much sugar is also bad for the heaith.

I am clearly against this thing..giving such processed stuffs, drinks to an infant..!
These can even harm us elders so its just a BIG no for an infant!!
One should never give such drinks to any infant as infants are so small and delicate humans thye can get affected very easily!!
We people can't even give an infant a refrigerated water!! SO giving a coke is such a far away thing for me.
Infants should be handled with care they are just oh so delicate!!

Hi my friend. You may not know that softdrinks or fizzy drinks contain lots of sugar - which means they contain a lot of calories - and very few nutrients. The added sugar they contain can also damage teeth of both children and adults. Instead of cola drinks why don't you give your kid milk or flavored water like lemon or honey. explain to your hubby that colas contain much sugar which may trigger different illneses like diabetes and tooth decay to your kid.

Hello jHoEn16,
I don't give my one year old son any soft drinks to try as he has a very sensitive stomach. He can't try something new and he always vomit it right after that. He loves fruit juice and Ribena very much. But when the first time I tried to let him have it, he vomitted. Personally I don't think you should let your son to have carbonated drinks, even if it is just a sip. It is not good for them.

I like coca-cola, but I am much more thinking about my health and there are other drinks, which taste also good and don't have so much sugar.thorught the day i would drink green tea, or juice. And before I go sleep I would drink just hot milk or warm chocolate for good sleeping.but anyway I have a cousin, who was used to drink coca-cola from childhood and now she is 18 but she is dobble as me and I am 5 years older.I am not saying it is only from coca-cola, but also from that.It has just too much sugar.

I never gave my children any typwe of soda pop till they were well into school. I don't have any idea if it is bad for an infant. I can only imagine that it is not very healthy with the caffiene and sugar content in a can of Coke. Even a sip could be bad for one so young.

I definitely will not want to start my infant on any kind of colas at such a young age. My son is 28 months old now and I still limit his intake of such sugar loaded drinks. I think it will only encourage and promote teeth cavaties if started at an early age.

I don't like giving my son coke or pepsi however he does drink sprite (my son is five). All sodas are sugery and most have caffeine so if you want your child drinking that then that is your decision. Apple or orange juice is just as good and some chocolate drinks also. The less soda the have i think the better it is for them healthwise.

i think its bad for infant there are harmful chemical in that would counter with the body system of your baby, and it with react to the milk. and sometimes it causes dumbness for the baby. i hope you stop letting your baby drink it, its truly bad for baby. it weaken the system of your baby. ask your pediatrician if it is correct.

Hey jHoEn16. I think Coca Cola is a really unhealthy drinking and childrens shoudln't drink Coke too much, especialy in the morning or before sleeping, Coca Cola is NOT recommanded and parents should be aware.
