What time did you get up this morning, and why?

I awakened at 4:45am because I didn't sleep much, but then again I always wake up early. So at 5:45am I headed out to get breakfast and then went over to my parent's house to drive my mom to work. Since her car accident she is better, but not healed. Because my dad has been pretty tired, we let him sleep and I took her on to work. So what time did you get up this morning and why that particular time?

Let's see. This morning I got up at 6:00 a.m., because it was a day I could sleep in. Tomorrow it will be 5:00 a.m., because my husband has to be at work by 6:00. I ate, got dressed, went to work at job one, then job two and got home at 8:45 p.m. I should be in bed now, but I will go in just a minute. Most of my days are either 5 or 6. It is good you live close enough to help your parents out. Where did your mom have her accident?

On Turner turnpike going to Tulsa. Two words: construction zone.

I have lived in Kansas over thirty years and there has not been any period of time when I have not had to go through construction zone as I came south to visit family. I have nephews and nieces who live near you, Moore, Yukon, and other members in OKC area, and Guthrie.

Oh yes. Construction is a constant. And not all the time needed.

I woke up this morning around 7:30 am. I need to call some friends because I was required to submit my character references to the company I'm currently applying at. I'm glad I was able to contact them all.

Glad to hear your mom is healing. Have you been taking her to work every day, or just giving your dad a break? I'll bet he's appreciative. I like to get up early. I was up at 4:55. I get up to make coffee and put lunch together for my hubby. He leaves for work just before 6 am. If I'm tired, I'll go back to bed for a little bit, but If I feel energetic, I like to start doing some of my chores, or go for a walk with my dog.

Sounds like a good plan. I have been picking my mom up from her work every day, but usually my dad drives her to work.

I got up quite late this morning at 9:30. It suprised me to be awake until that time. Maybe it because I went to bed much later than usual. Besides, there were only two persons in my dorm this morning, and it was very quiet. That enabled me to sleep well.

The first time I woke up it was 3:30 am because my 10 month old was hungry and had been restless all night. Then I got up again at 7:30 am to get my 5 year old ready for school.

My mom said the first time she got pregnant, she never slept through a whole night without waking up. Being a mother completely took those away. Is it the same for you? : )

Actually both of my kids sleep through the night pretty well. But when they don't sleep, its usually on a night that I really need them too. I don't get as much sleep as I used to though thats for sure.

I got up about 6:30 a.m. Actually, I just woke up at 6:30 a.m. I was still lying in my bed because I'm still to sleepy and tired to start my day. But I have to so that I won't be late for my class which starts at 8:30 a.m. :)

Sounds like you are a good daughter! I slept until 9:30 this morning, because my husband slept late, also. Usually I get up around 8:00 and fix him breakfast. Neither one of us slept well last night though, so I guess we tried to catch up this morning!

Well we're in for a thunderstorm tonight, so it's a good thing you aren't here. You'd have a repeat night of no sleep. : )

I woke up about 6:30am. Here lately it has become a trend for my daughter to wake up bright and early in the morning. It's killing me! I'm not a morning person so waking up this early every morning for the past 2 or 3 weeks has been making me very grouchy lol.

3 Am. Seriously. I woke up with some inflammed sinuses and really got irritated because of it. Also found I had a sinus and cough induced headache with body pains. Its a total dive.

Does Zycam treat sinuses too? I've heard it works wonders, but I don't know if they have a sinus version. And since it tastes so stinkin' bad, I'd hate for you to try it, and find out it didn't work for that. Of course, I think you'd hate that a lot more than I would. ; )

Today I woke up 6.30 am because I need to prepare my daughter to go to school. Since I know that I need to wake up early and do few things in the morning, I always try to go to bed on time, so I can have enough sleep. That's helping me a lot to survive in the next day.

My husband and I are on opposite work schedules. He gets home at 5:00 a.m., so I got up today (as always) at 4:45a.m. to get the coffee going. We enjoy the next hour just drinking coffee and catching up on our day/evening. Then I make him a grand breakfast (actually his supper) and get ready to go to work. I am normally a night person, so when I get home in the evening after my chores and supper, I don't have the good sense to turn off the computer and go to bed at a reasonable time. Oh well, tomorrow morning I'll be back up at 4:45.

Probably way before you were born there was a television show by that name. It was based on a 1940's radio show and then became a movie and a t.v. show originally in 1949 starring Jackie Gleason and then in 1953 starring William Bendix. There is an interesting history of the phrase on Wikipedia, along with the history of the shows made based on the phrase. I am old enough to remember the black & white t.v. show in the 50's and it was quite funny.

I get up at 6 am each weekday morning to go to work. This gives me time to shower, get dressed, and have a morning devotional before I need to leave for work.

I agree. It helps me handle any problems or difficulties that I may face. On the rare occassions that I don't have my morning devotional I feel like something is missing in my day.

A morning devitional is just essential to a good day. Even if it isn't a good day, it allows me to be more apt to handle it.

I am used to getting up early in the morning around 6 o'clock. I have to drive for about one hour to reach my job place or even more if the traffic is terrible (and it frequently happens!!!). but I don't mind getting up so early because the morning is my favourite part of the day...I am always so full of energy and ideas and projects for the day..I love looking at the colours changing in the sky and I love the fresh, clean air of the morning..so special and sometimes even perfumed!!! Now I am here at work and I am starting my day and I am sending you my best wishes of a good good day

Hi ambiePam, I woke up at 7:00 so to get my son off to school, but he is still sick, so I ended up calling the doctor instead.. Usually I would rather sleep in at least until 8:00 or 9:00, but not with kids..:)
