I seldom save leftovers. I cook just for my dad and I. When I have leftovers I don't eat them and never have really. very seldom do I eat any leftovers. I will give them to my dad for dinner or liunch the next day. Sometimes my wife will eat them when she gets home from work at night. They last a few days in my fridge is all then they get thrown out. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

My wife prepares food for 3. Due to the following reasons, the leftover food is kept till next day lunch time and it should be over by then. If it remains beyond that, it is disposed off in dustbin. 1. When the dish is our favourite, it is prepared in slightly big quantity. That may be the leftover. 2. When the food is not well prepared, some may not eat so there will be leftover. 3. When some one in the family eats outside and did not inform, then the food becomes leftover.

We always keep leftovers. There us almost always leftovers in this house. They are eaten for lunch the next day or we take leftovers from 2 nights in a row and have leftover night. Sometimes. depending on what it is, leftovers get a makeover and become a whole new meal. This happens with pork roasts ans whole chickens usually. If I forget about a leftover and it is in the fridge for more than 3 days it becomes the dogs treat. I just might go heat up some leftovers now for lunch.

We have learned that after a couple of days we need to throw left overs away. But, of course, we forget and find that our left-over food have spawned families. Ick! lol. Anyway, we do like to collect those left-overs.

If it isn't eaten for lunches,we have smorgasboard day at my house. Ever four days *everything* comes out of the fridge in the form of leftovers. If I cannot *remake* it, it get warmed up. And it is the buffet style for us. LOL

I do it all the time as there is only 3 of us at home I often make too much. I put in in plastic containers and freze it or keep it in the fridge and have it next day. none of us mind it and it saves me cooking meals every day and all the washing up that I have to do after cooking.

I keep leftover food all the time! Unfortuntly its usually forgotten in the fridge until it goes bad. After a while someone will get the courage to clean the fridge!

My husband is almost fanatical about keeping leftovers. He'll bring them home from restaurants. And usually is tired of that food and later doesn't want the leftover. Then we have this neat little collection of dishes in the refrigerator that I'm afraid to look in! And sometimes he plants surprises. I opened what I thought was a tub of sour cream, to find a mystery leftover that was growing. UGH.

I have a three day limit on left overs. If it is in there for more than 72 hours it gets pitched. Then again, its rare that anything lasts more than 24 hours in this house!

We usually eat the leftovers the next day. My hubby sometimes takes some for lunch at work. If there is still some left on day 2 I will throw it all in a pot and make a soup. I even throw the leftover mashed potatoes in because it thickens it a little. Sometimes I add some gravy mix and make it into a stew.
