lol, you've never been to the Gilroy Garlic Festival then! its in Gilroy, California and its been going on for over 20yrs now i think!
they have garlic flavored everything there! including ice-cream!
im sure it gets the "novelty" tryers, but somehow i just cant see it becoming a standard icecream parlor flavor! i love garlic, but not THAT much!
in case your interested here is the link for the Gilroy Garlic Festival...

We have a Garlic Festival here as well... the ice cream isn't made with raw garlic, so the flavor is deeper and smoother than you'd imagine... past the first 2 bites, its really not bad, though I wouldn't put it on another flavor. Just eat it straight!

Ha ha, what will they come up with next? i do not think i would like garlic flavored ice cream..I do love garlic to cook with and use it always, and i do like ice cream but togeather ,I do not think so....Im sure it would taste like ice cold garlic and leave a lingering bad taste in your mouth..It would make a good deterant to eat it just before you meet an enemy hahaha....They would be sure to never talk to you again, they could not stand your breath...LOL

Hi slavezero! Ugh! Garlic on ice cream? I like garlic on some of my food but I don't think I would be trying that new flavored ice cream with garlic. I guess, I will be feeling the same way as Dracula at the sight of garlic in ice cream. LOL! Take care and have a nice day!

Slavezero, it's the first time that I've heard of the garlic-flavored ice cream and it's only from you. The producers of this garlic-flavored ice cream may also want to try to manufacture onion-flavored ice cream.

Yes, I have tried garlic-flavored ice cream, and despite the way it sounds, it was surprisingly good. I had while dining at a fancy restaurant in downtown Los Angeles called The Stinking Rose. The restaurant menu is garlic-inspired. Almost all the meals have some form of garlic in it, except for a few, for those who might be "vampiric" by nature and can't stand garlic. The food was actually delicious and the smell of cooked garlic in the place just makes your mouth water.
Definitely it was a new taste, garlic-flavored ice cream, but it was not unpleasant as most people might think. You just have to check it out yourself.

I love garlic, but that does not appeal to me. I would, however, try jalapeno icecream. I have had jalapeno jelly, and raspberry jalapeno honey. Both were very good. Let us know what you think when you try it.

Garlic flavored ice cream sounds terrible. I love garlic in other foods but cant imagine eating it in anything sweet. I will just stick with chocolate.

A town by where I used to live had a garlic festival every year. Everyone who went reved about the garlic ice cream.
Baked garlic is very nice and sweet..I could see where it would be an ice cream. Maybe next year I will get there.

This is a new one, I'll definitely keep my eyes open for it, I'd love to try it. My two favorite loves combined into one...
