It's time to get started. Good luck, everyone on the east coast or or further East.

First hour: 454 words. Not bad by my standards, but it'll be hard to keep doing that consistently.

First hour and a half, 2067 words. Not bad for my first day, but I'm not sure what I wrote as I was half asleep when I did it. Oh, well. It's a start.

I was going to try it but it looks like I'm going to write what was my idea as a movie script instead. Although there is still time for me to come up with something completely new, which would be well within the spirit of nanowrimo.

I think that I've decided on a topic - sort of a sequel to a megapoem that I wrote. Now the challenge will be to wait the next couple of days without actually writing any of it.

Come on Ethan, if I'm gonna try this, you can too. If you need some ideas, go check out my website. It's what I do.

GO NANOWRIMO!!!I am anxiously counting down the hours, (7 left to go via Pacific Time). This will be my third year participating.
For those that haven't participated in the challenge, I can assure you it is a wonderful way to test the boundries of your creativity. It is also one of the most useful tools in learning how to "shut out" the internal critic of the mind. If you can suceed in doing that and sticking to your personal schedule of writing time you will succeed during November NaNo.

Yes, I'm getting a little anxious myself. This is my first one, so keep our toes crossed, as we'll be needing our fingers.

Tell her congrats from me, I wish her the best, and I send a big thank you to you for being able to live in the same house as a writer. You are a brave soul.

Not this year. The problem is finding the time. I'm too busy trying to pay the bills this year. But I have considered doing it next year. Another problem is waiting to write something when you've got an idea. If I have an idea, I usually have to sit right down and bang it out. So, if I decide to do the NaNoWriMo challenge, I'm going to have to exercise some serious control to wait until November to start writing. Since I have some serious control issues - being that I have none - that may be a problem. :-D

Waiting till November has been my biggest problem to date. I haven't started the writing thing yet, but it's been hard. The other thing is that I've been waiting so long now, that I'm beginning to second guess myself and almost talked myself out of doing it, then my creative side kicked my inner critic in the butt.

One of my clients is doing that in November. I would be interested in hearing about your experience if you have done it or are doing it next month. Thanx.
