i am a good tmother i think i am anyway. well when i first brought my daughter home my husband took pictures of me giving her her first bath at home and when i went to have them developed the lday that developed them gave me very dirty looks. i am not a pervert but they have have places to put pictures of this in their baby books. you could clearly see what was going on and i dont think that something like that is wrong. its a memory and i like to think maybe an embarassing moment one day for her like my mother did me. anyone think that i am weird or wrong?

There's nothing wrong with taking pictures of baby's first bath. Our society seems confused sometimes about what is completely normal & what's abusive or inappropriate. Besides perverts taking pictures of children don't bring their film to photo shops to be developed.

I've had five children. For all of those 5 I have bathtime pictures ... their first bath, random ones during the first year where they first discovered bubbles, or where my youngest was using the back of the tub as a slide, etc. There is nothing wrong with it. That woman who developed your photos was far too oversensitive for her own good.
As the above poster mentioned, society takes things much too seriously. We're so paranoid of the world we live in now that we easily confuse normal behavior with abnormal, and it's getting to the point that it's ridiculous.
Enjoy your photos, and ignore people like that one particular lady. I think you'll find she's a rarity and most people would see the naked baby pictures as perfectly innocent and normal excited parenting of a new baby. Congrats, by the way.

There's nothing wrong with wanting to remember memories by taking first baths. I agree with Ciniful, just ignore the person. Maybe she is the one who is a pervert that's why she reacted that way. Or simply she's jealous or something.
Don't worry about what others think. I'm sure your kids would appreciate you doing those stuff. It would help your kids to be reminded how much you and your husband love them so much.
My parents did the same for us, we have so many pictures. It always brings a smile to our faces whenever we talk about what happened before while viewing the photos.
=)
Goodluck!

Our society has taken a loving action and turned it into a possible perversion.
You are right, take the pictures, some day your child maybe embarassed by it, but it is all part of life and love.

Absolutely not! I have to wonder where that lady had her mind to think there was something weird about that. She must not be a mother. Those moments are precious and you should take as many pictures as you want to. People need to mind their own stinking business! You know if you see some naked child posing - that is one thing, but a baby in a bath? Give me a break!

Hi Tabymclay. Well, it's ok. I mean I don't have any child but my mom did capture a lot of the photo of mine and my siblings as well, for sure, including those we are taking bath. Haha. It's just fine, stay cool!

There is nothing wrong with those pictures and don't worry about what the others were thinking. You are the parent and you know what you feel is appropriate for your child and what isn't.

No you're not the only one, I have pictures of all my kids in the bath, on the potty, naked on the carpet after their bath, pottering around the garden in the nuddy! These are all innocent memories that we want to cherish. The world has gone potty as far as I am concerned. When we had our first son he was always in the bath with my husband, as a baby or toddler that is, but once we had the next 2 kids it all stopped. Some where along the way my husband started to feel uncomfortable after reading things in papers on the tv, it's really sad that we are made to feel like this.

Yeah, I don't understand why some people can be so malicious about such cute family memories. Don't mind such people, maybe they had past experience that make them react that way. Congrats with your new baby. I wish your family the best, take care :)
