What's the common drink for your guest in your country?

In China the most common drink is tea. When the guest visits us, usually we will make a tea for them to drink. I am a little bit different, perhaps I am not so interested in tea. So when others visit to me, usually I will offer them water or soda water.

Here in Finland the common drink for guests is either coffee or tea, but most people usually take coffee. Finnish people LOVE their coffee so much. In Indonesia, it's either tea or just plain water he he he...

Both China and India have many cultures in common, and it is proud to see that the ancient traditions are still intact. We also give guests a tumbler of cool water when they come to our house and after a while we would give either coffee or tea. This is the practice which is quite invariantly practised in all parts of our country. Thanks Jing for giving chance to express my country's tradtion and take care of yourself.

Tea is a popular drink to be offered here too but not all prefer to go for tea so i would normally ask would you like to have tea or coldrink and depending on the response of the person the drink is served. In industries tea is the normal thing which is served for coustomers.

Me, here in the Philippines, we used to have coffee or black coffee. We have this great kind of coffee that really makes our guests like it much. We are also fond of offering natural fruit juices.

Now I know the common drink in Philippines is coffee. Although we are Asians, but we are still different in this aspect. I like coffee but I can't drink it often, because I am afraid I can't fall asleep easily after that.

It is usually tea that is being served up except in situations whereby the guest would like to have coffee instead. When it is hot day we would serve up fresh lime juice or buttermilk to quench the thirst of the visitor .

there is no such thing as common drink in the philippines but when we have guests we try to offer them the best that we have, if we have coffee then we serve it in the morning or hot chocolate, if its in the afternoon we give them juice, apple juice, orange juice or pineapple whatever is available or cola, we tend to ask what the guest prefers.

I think in my country there is no absolute drink for guests. Maybe because in my country there are limitless of drink supply, so everybody has the freedom to choose their own favorite drinks. But the most usual drinks served for guests are: For hot drinks: a. coffee/nescafe b. tea/lipton/boh c. milo d. horlicks For cold drinks: a. syrup b. orange juice (sunquick) c. soda drinks (for teenagers mostly)

I think it would be tea for us too! But sometimes for the younger generation, they would offer water, or juices when guests come over. I notice that we don't necessarily serve tea but it depends the age of the guests and the hosts.

My country is a nation of coffee-drinkers. Since we don't usually serve hot drinks, we often offer juices or coke. I prefer softdrinds/soda because there's no preparation needed for that ^_^
