Have you ever been a part or involved in a secret shopper/mystery shopper or in a sting operation before?

No I haven't. I always thought it would be fun to be a secret shopper but never knew if it was legitimate or not. Plus I don't know if I'd be assertive enough to essentially "harass" the employees.

I've known two people to get fired because of them. The people were clearly over 21, and to these two people they looked over 35, and here we have signs saying if you don't look over 35, we card you. It was so retarded

I've been a secret shopper years ago. I received some bad service while doing it which made it worthwhile as I put in the report of bad service, meaning those involved would have gotten into trouble, leading (hopefully) to better service for others! Of course, I did get some good service, too, and I was more than happy to give a good report for it.
The other great advantage was the free stuff. I got to go to the movies for free (including free snacks) and then made a report. I also got free fuel and meals from pizza hut restaurant. There was one time when I had to do almost all of a small shopping centre, including some of the food outlets - I went each day for a few days & had free lunches each time.
I liked the feeling that I was reporting on service without the customer service people knowing, especially if it was bad service as I'd be there thinking to myself that this person was going to get a bad report and they had no idea what I was doing!
