What is the most amount of money you have ever had to pay the library for over due books?

I was cleaning out my bookshelf during an off semester and came across I believe 6 or 7 books from the university library. I was SHOCKED and knew I would have to pay whatever fines there were. When I returned them I had to pay over $150. This happened in the 80's so I can't recall how long the books were overdue.

It is not much. In University library, they charge less than 5 cents per day and however discount is allowed for those who delay for 1 month. This is after allowing you to keep the books for 15 days and renew it for 1 more week.

The most amount I've had to pay is about $0.5 for a 5day overdue.

I think it was about $1 to $2, this was quite a few years ago. I had forgotten that I had books on loan, and when I ended up handing the books in it turned out that they were overdue by about a week. That was a sad day.

A few dollars, mostly due to overdue videos.

When Emily was just small, she colored in one of my cookbooks from the library. I still have the book I had to buy it. It was a cheapie. I had to pay $3.00 for it. BUT that was over 15 years ago. LOL Over due books, maybe 50 cents. I usually read alot faster than they are due.
