MyLot I'm am making an open appeal to you. I love being here at MyLot, I really do and I treasure this site as I love the many varied discussions that are here and available to us. I'm a LOYAL fan of MyLot...I can't express this enough to you. You must understand that. There are so many of us who love being here as well and many of us have formulated deep bondings and friendships to the people here...sometimes we feel closer to our friends here and think of them as extended family. We love to hear what is going on in their lives...their triumphs, their sorrows, their pains and we all rally behind each other to give encouragement. Not only do we find wonderful discussions to respond to, but we can create our own discussions as well. But it has been increasingly clear how many discussions have been deleted as of late and many of us have privately e-mailed you to get an explanation as to why. I have very carefully looked at your guidelines and so have all of us, and I can understand the deletion of some discussions, but none of us can understand the deletion of other harmless discussions. But why is it if a poster starts a discussion for prayers for a difficult situation in there lives and wants to be surrounded by the prayers of their friends...it's deleted. Why are discussions giving some kind of up-date on a situation in one's life deleted? Why is it if a member of MyLot has been away for awhile happily announces that they are back to reassure their friends that they are all right and not to worry...it's deleted...Please tell me...us..why? I have no doubt that this discussion will be deleted. But I'm making an open appeal to you MyLot administrators. Please give us an explanation. We have emailed you without any replies as to the specifics of why our discussions are deleted. By the constant deletion of our discussions you're making it very hard for us to stay here...do you really want that? Like I said...I LOVE MyLot..I love this place, I love the people here...all I and us here is to know....WHY?

Yes I agree with you that it would be nice if we know what we do wrong, I have read the guidelines many times because I don't want to start a discussion just to have it deleted and upset peoples tally, I know they do lis a lot there and maybe some of them could come under the heading of personal and should be posted in private messages but some of us have a lot of friends and I think would take a lot of private messaging, so maybe Mylot could think about updating their guidelines....

When I joined MyLot I was amazed at the number of friends I made worldwide, their discussions meant I could catch up with them and hear what was going on in their lives. The good times and the bad times, the happy news and the sad. Lately, it seems, these are the very postings that are being deleted, with no explanation or reason. I'm with you hun, give us a reason please MyLot

I truly hope that you will get the answers you are seeking, pyewacket. It does not bode well for any situation when the lines of communication are not open. I am a firm believer that you cannot correct a wrong unless you know what that wrong was. I am sure that there are many others who also are seeking answers.

I haven't seen as much of the deletions, because I'm not here all that often, but I do notice when my post count goes down, which I suspect is related to deletions. It does seem like there has been an increasing feeling of being left in the dark, though. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen any sort of official statement from any MyLot employees or administrators. Most of the other forums I participate in do have that sort of involvement, and I honestly have to say that I prefer those.

Hello Pyewacket, I fully support your effort to prompt better communication from MyLot's administration. There's little more frustrating that to start, or participate in, then lose a discussion. Ya' look and look, but alas, the discussion is gone. Poof, into thin air. Leaving only bitter and befuddled members. This questionable business practice has resulted in many high quality members simply disappearing as well. MyLot has a good thing here. It would seem to me to make sense to protect it, rather than sabotage it.

People should be allowed to request prayers for their friends and let them know that they are back. They can also ask a question, so is the myLot staff overrun by atheists? I read the rules too and I saw that many of the discussions deleted did not break the rules. The only conclusion is that some on myLot do not believe in prayers and do not want us to tell when we are back.

I stand with you on this one Pyewacket!! Mylot you owe us an explanation or at least a new set of guidelines to go by. Too many discussions lately are being deleted that I was going to respond to, only to find it had been deleted, and the subject of the discussions were harmless, I did not see anything wrong with most of them. Pye I hope you and I and the rest of us here on mylot get some answers.

Hi pyewacket, Thanks for having the courage to start this discussion, in light of all that's been going on. I totally agree with what you've said here, and I love this site so very much too. I never dreamed it was possible to 'make real friends' online, until this. I'm hoping that the 'goodwill' you've displayed here, will be of benefit to administrators, and members, as well. Take Care.

Yes, if the discussion are not against the guidelines why are they being deleted. The whole idea of this thing is for us to interact, yes?

I have heard that alot of discussions have been deleted lately and I am surprised to see this one still up. I don't have any reasons to suggest to explain the deletions but I too have grown to really enjoy MyLot. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

I too am surprised that this discussion is still here after five days...but I am glad because I think we should have some sort of explanation as to why we can't share our sorrow and our joy...daily life...with our friends here any more!

im agreeing here, i've been in two discussions that you started, one about the same as this one, and they both got deleted, while i still wanted to post a response. i think that if this one is deleted too, its just a way of limiting freedom of speech.

Yeah, they ought to tell you what the reason is even if it's only a couple of sentences... Like previously discussed, or inappropriate subject, or something. Then maybe they wouldn't have to delete so many because we would know better then to post it in the first place.

It's interesting to see you post this and the fact that it has stayed. It makes me wonder if there are some who are being reported by a bunch of people who are keeping their activities under wraps. The My-lot Police were full of themselves and took delight in letting everyone know what they were up to. I have a feeling that a new group has been policing us with the ability to delete discussions and ban members. Just a thought...it all makes for an intresting discussion as well as an appeal.

Sure hope you gat a reply from them and that the discussion doesn't get deleted. I sometimes wonder if discussions get deleted just because someone hits the negative rating on it, so out it goes without any staff even reading it? There do seem to be people in the world that just like to go around bursting bubbles for no real reason, or dislike someone so will complain about anything that person posts. I also wonder if a whole discussion is deleted when one person doesn't like another person's responses. Anyway, either the staff needs to clarify or rewrite the rules.

This has been done before. Its not really the negative button that does it, but all someone has to do is hit ! and then put in any reason that sounds legit. Sometimes they do it by length and using buzz words like "offence"/"offended". I've seen several discussions pulled that weren't against any rules. However a few of them were brought back, so mylot does do some real checking and monitoring.

I hope something does happen Pye. Mylot already has as some of my irritation due to the rigged star system. Now I'm hearing about deleted discussions where people really need support. I really don't like it.

Someone actually goes through and reads all the discussions and comments? Ew. That would be a time consuming job. By the way, I was looking at your site for your pictures. What kind of camera do you have?
