Do you like spiders?

I know spiders are helpful in nature, but they creep me out a little. My husband is a "bug man", no not half bug, half man, he's a pest control technician, so, I don't kill spiders, at least I try not to. A week or so ago, when my son left for the bus stop, I noticed a neat spider web in our tree. It was big and the sun was reflecting off of it. The spider was still in it, he or she was little but the web was pretty big! I took some pretty cool pictures of it, which I will share one here with you.
Do you like spiders, or do the creep you out?

I like spiders. They are very interesting creatures. I can sit and watch one spin a web for hours.
Where I draw the line is when a spider that could potentially kill or make my dog very sick is in my house. If they are outside in a bush or a tree, I respect their place in nature even if they are poisonous because I can avoid them. They warn me with their bright colors, etc., or other appearance clues and I just walk the other way and do not disturb them. Most are non poisonous or non aggressive. Usually, I just try to get the spider outside, but on rare occasions there are aggressive and poisonous spiders in my house, occasionally I have to get them before they can harm my dog who is very curious about things.

There are only two poisonous spiders in the United States of America, The black widow and the brown recluse and the only bright colorful spot on the black widow is the red "hourglass on the underneath of the abdomen. These are the only spiders that are dangeroud t humans because of their venom.

I know. And I live in Florida, so the recluse and the brown and black widow are seen almost daily. Gotta watch for bright fiddles/violins...
Recluses are shy, but they do sometimes get into the house or the garage. Widows are a different story. And they are decieving because although the recluse is large enough for one to think is a threat, widows are often much tinier than the nature shows lead you to believe and many people think "that teeny spider can't possibly hurt me" and they would be wrong :(

I do find Spiders creepy, lol!...This must be the year for them because everyone seems to be talking about the little guys.
Did you hear or read about the one Spider web found in Texas?....It was HUGE!...talk about giving you the willies!...ew!
I don't really kill them unless they are in the house at night. I have a cat so I don't want them to bite her, and I know she'd play with them.
Your web looks really neat...I'll go check it out.

I am known to hate spiders. Apparently my fear is not chronic.
I hgave been like this since a young child. Where we came from there were lots of poisonous spiders. Especially the redbacks were everywhere.
Last sunday I was bitten by a spider. I didn't see it, but my foot was very painful for a day, then by the next day a red patch had spread along my foot.

I have come to like spiders. Where I live there are no venomous spiders or aggressive ones, so there is no reason to fear them. Because they help destroying other annoying insects, I consider them useful. That is why when my mother and sisters freak out because of a spider in the house and tell me to kill it, I don't.
Sometimes, if a spider is endangered, I take it on my hand and guide it to a safer place.

What a great pic, thanks for sharing.
Spiders are pretty harmless so they don't bother me at all.
In fact I am the one who usually puts them outside, not my hubby.
