If you are to choose a partner in life, would you like him/her to be smart or intelligent? How do you differentiate the two characteristics, in the first place?

I would prefer to be smart for smart people can easily think solution especially when they are in a hard situation. You can always have intelligent through reading and studying.

Smart any day because smart people can usually do things like change a washer in a leaking tap.
Really highly intelligent people often don't have lots of common sense to fix the leaking tap but they can tell you all about the density of water and why the clouds are blue or white. LOL

My partner in life would just be smart. A smart person knows alot but an intelligent person pretty much knows everything. I wouldn't want to marry someone who actually does know more than I think I do.

I'd love my partner to be intelligent, as I find intellectual conversation stimulating.

Actually there is no such big difference between intelligent and smart..maybe you should compare brainy and smart.
