Hi Sumit,
I should say that please don't feel that you don't have anyone who understands you.As you said you're having your best friend. No matter that she is not able to heal you at this moment. But I suggest you,you should talk to her cause she's your friend( n rather best friend),she won't mind it even if she's facing something.Instead, she is the only person who can take you out of it.So,try to discuss with her and one more thing, try to heal her too.If she's facing some problem, you can't leave her alone.Better involve with her and try to concentrate and solve her problem. It will help both.

dear sumit-can you tell me more about your problem, may be i can help. this depression may be because of adverse planetory positions now, may be because of some misconceptions you may be carrying. i suggest you to read some books by Deepack Chopra-This will definately help to get your perspectives right

I am sorry but I don't believe in stars and all that, I believe that what we do in the present reflect the past, ya maybe I am carrying some misconceptions but how to know if they are true or false. And which books are you talking about , can you give the names please.

Depression affects us. Every body is sure to get that emotions of feelings depressed due to certain things we badly wanted to make good at but we are seemingly going no where. It adds up our depression and makes us a little more stressed up. I also had my time of depression and most wanted to end my life.
Today, I just laugh at it. I'm somehow thankful that unpleasant things came my way, it has made me to be a better person, smarter and more mature.
I just want to share that when i actually changed the way I see unpleasant things in my life to be opportunities for greater chances to enjoy life. Seemingly unnecessary things that happen in our lives doesn't just happen to make us sad and give up on ourselves. They happen for a greater cause, for us to grow and learn more in life. At times, they happen because we attract them in our lives. Thoughts become reality. We have to be careful of what we wish or think of because these are what we attract in our lives.
Life is beautiful! Spread the love!

Yea life is indeed beautiful and maybe you are right that depression is their only for sometime , we will laugh at it later, but right now the pressure of it is so much that I cannot bear it, I need the remedy now , not at a later stage when I will be free of it.
thanks for your response.

Depression is a difficult disease to deal with. I know I have been depressed for awhile now. I am on medication and see a counselor once a week. My counselor is there to listen and hear my pain, I wish you would give it a try. It is often easier to talk to strangers than family and friends. Ask your doctor to set something up, you will feel less burdened!

yes I am definitely looking forward to see a counselor, but as my college is situated in a remote area and due to my busy schedule it makes it difficult for me to pay him a visit, but I am surely planning to go to one.

Hi,
I hope you are feeling better.
You say no one understands you, my question is
do you understand you?
What do you want out of life?
Try writting down some positief things, things you want to do.Things that would make you happy.
Try it, you will be amazed.
Take Care.

hi sumit . probably depression is caused when you think intensively about something . it may be something you tend to get concerned about it too much . see , human brain have great potentiality to think . it is probably a ruler inside a ruler . it can go to unexpectable limits when it starts thinking . what you have to do is draw boundries for your brain . say if you are thinking too deeply about your tommorow's fixtures just say to yourself " if i am fully prepared why should i think of results " . you see , preparation is the key . stop assuming too much , instead concentrate on your work . brain produces numerous thoughts but you should learn to control them . probably if you are precise on the kind of problem you are experiencing i can try to give best of suggestions.

I understand what you are trying to say, but I am not that worried about my future because currently I am enrolled in an Engineering college and i hope that I will get a good joy , it is the present which is worrying me, my family pressures, financial condition, health problems and my best friends problems sometimes.

Knowing you have a problem is also a solution to your problem. Try to get to the root cause of your depression. It maybe difficult for you to do this. You may have to engage the servise of a vcounselor or a psycologist. I just made a post relating to this subject a few minutes ago. The title is "Change the cause and the effect follows suit". You may need to read it.
Many people aren't in touch with why they are feeling either indifferent or dreadful when they're at work or at home or at any place. They just feel blue at every slightest irritation or unfamiliar sight. Now that you are able to recorgnize your feelings as being depressive, you need to identify the reasons that are causing it.
According to Steve McCann, founder of Florida-based McCann Research Corporation, an organization committed to the discovery and development of human potential, "It's simple cause and effect," he says. "You've identified the effect, which are feelings of dread or disinterest concerning your work environment. Now it's critical to find the cause. As you change the cause, you change the effect. It's that simple."
Check the cause of your stress and gett on the right track.
Try to read the post and make your comment. The title is "Change the cause and the effect follows suit".
Wish you quick recovery.

You cannot do it on your own and someone telling you to think good thoughts and take long walks, enjoy nature, is not going to help. It seems that your depression may have more than a chemical base, it may be due to something in your past, something that you have to find a time machine and physically go back to correct it.
You have to talk to a psychiatrist about these feelings, and possibly get medicine that will help you. As for talking to your friend, this is not something you talk to your friend about unless you and her have similar experiences. So seeing a doctor and a psychiatrist preferably of your religion or beliefs is the best bet.

I am so sorry for your pain. It sounds like you could use some help getting through this to move forward. Have you every considered seeing a therapist? They will be able to determine if you need some medication. I have gone through this and currently see a therapist and am on medication. It has helped me get to the root of my problems and work on them. I hope someday to not need the medication but will take it as long as I do. My heart is with you. Good luck!

Cheer up my friend. Be more positive. I understand how you feel. I have experienced what you are feeling now before. Actually, our problems are considered very small if you compare them to how big the Universe is. We often feel unhappy or depressed because we tend to manifest our problems and allow our problems to affect our emotions. Try not to think too much about it.
I love doing volunteering work. Doing volunteering work makes me realise how fortunate I am and I feel happy being able to make a difference in other people's lives. Maybe you can try doing some volunteering work to enrich your life.
I hope this helps.

Ya I always look forward to keep myself busy and do some volunteering work, and reading all your comments , I am thrilled and surely want to get rid of the depression. You said right that the problems lead to depression only when we allow them to gain utmost importance in our life.
thanks for piece of advice..:)

I have had depresion for a very long time I dont have a phisical pain but I am emotionaly drained every day. I was told to get medication but as I hardly ever take medication I decided not to get anything as it is not going to solve my problems it would just cover the pain and that is not what I am after. My advise to you is to go see a doctor and if there is no reason for the pain try to deal with the issues that make you depressed talk about it with anyone that would listen.

I also struggle with depression, sumitsonu, and I know that it has painful physical aspects as well as emotional. I get headaches from it too. I take lexipro for it, and it helps a little with the headaches. My therapist thinks I should switch to cymbalta. It helps a lot with the physical aspects as well as the actual depression. If your depression is getting that bad, I highly recommend seeing a therapist of some sort. Good luck to you! Oh, and just so you know, when you feel that way, don't ever think that you can't talk to someone about it. People are here for you. Send me a friend request and you can talk to me about your problems. :)

Well for depression, medicines are not solution. Do Meditation, try breathing exercise, it will help you balance and handle depression.
