I am not a lover of skinny women, but I am more attracted to a womans personality more than anything else. so I cant really comment on this subject.

That's a good point. When a woman has a brain in her head, is a nice person and loving, there is nothing sexier.

That way to general of a statement. Saying guys like skinny women is like saying women like tall men. Some do, some don't.
Skinny and fat is a reletive term also. Cindy Crawford is skinny compared to Oprah but not next to Nicole Richie. There's a guy for all body-types. I've known men who could be called "chubby-chasers"(same for women).
Now that doesn't mean a woman shouldn't take care of herself. It's ok to be big if you're not a slob. Some women just let themselves go and take no thought of their appearance. Others embrace their largess and hide behind the "I'm proud of my body this is my skin" line. This can be dangerous as, to be honest, being overweight is not too healthy. MAny women have taken this line of thinking, and I can't blame them with the pressure the fashon world puts on girls to be skinny, but they have to understand there are limits and you should strive to be healthy. It's an incredible strain on your heart and other organs carrying unnessacary weight.

Your right. You have put it plain and simple. Trying to understand why women have to worry about what men think about them has been a big issue with friends and family. I was hoping someone else felt the way I have.
Thanks for responding with such a good answer.

I think being skinny is good to a point..... I think pressure is way to much now about being skinny for women. Look at some of the famous people... they look like crap!! Nicole Richie looks like the wind is about to blow her over, and many of the models are looking like that too. I think being a healthy weight is more important than looking like a tooth pick.

Your right, and the pressure that the media puts on women is outragious. Makes women think that if your not skinny, then men won't look at you.
Thanks for your response.

Men like whatever women tell them to like. Women are obsessed with being teeny tiny, so guys think, "Ok, I guess that's good." Seriously.

I agree with you both, I am also in the middle and have been around so many that think that skinny is better. I always thought that being healthy was more important. Thanks for responding.

I agree, there is too much pressure to be thin, especially in women's magazines and on TV. But it is our decision if we believe it or not. I never felt pressured, because I knew that it wasn't true, that thin wasn't better. I focus on being fit instead of thin, and it helps me care about what I think, not what others think.

Who knows? The last two guys I dated really like large women, a lot! The guy before that liked toothpicks... just preference, I guess.
