Well, she's done it again!! While I was waiting for the curtains to dry I started picking up mint wrappers.
Now to explain, Hubby has 4 Starlight (red and white) mints every night after dinner and he ties a little knot in each wrapper and tosses the wrapper to Morgana who loves to chase them around the room and play with them. I go through later and pick them up and toss them out...but lately I haven't seen as many...now I know why.
Anyways, I was picking up the wrappers and saw one half under the couch so I pulled it out and out popped another. I tilted the couch up and guess what I found...again...Yup, a whole bunch of wrappers that she chased under the couch LOL
As you can see from the picture, she's got quite a little stash going. That isn't including all the ones I've found around the room. Petey used to stash his bones around the house and every now and then I'd come across one LOL
What's amazing is she seems to count the wrappers every night. As soon as Hubby is done eating, she will sit and stare at him waiting for the first wrapper. He will toss it to her, she'll play with it for a few minutes and then go back to watching him. She does this for each one of the four. When their all done...she goes off to play with them or goes and lays down.
Have you ever found your pets stash?? What kind of stash do they have? Below is a picture of under our couch...that's tommorrows cleaning...I'm too tired today.

And I thought my animals were weird...
I have a cat who is obsessed with drinking straws. He loves to play with them, if you throw one he'll fetch it, inluding bringing it back and dropping it at your feet. He's so addicted to them that I have to be careful anytime I bring hime a fast food drink. He'll knock it over in an effort to get the straw.

My chihuahua Cleo had this thing for dumdum suckers. She was able to (dont know how) confiscate some from the kids halloween candy bags . We noticed everytime we left her home by herself she had a sucker when we got home. And was still angry with us for leaving her. I think it was her comfort food. When we got ready to move back to kansas I was cleaning out Shawnees closet at the very back I found a stash of dumdum suckers .

My former dogs and former cats did not have any stashes. They were mainly outdoor types and even if they did, I would not allow it.
Any candy wrapper, etc. went into the garbage, although we usually gave the dog a bone to chew on, but once it was reduced to smitherins, it went into the garbage. I really hate vacuuming and cleaning every day and I believe in not making work.
The only ones that stash things under the couch or in it are the humans and that means every week, I search the couch for pennies, quarters, nickels, dimes, loonies, and toonies and also for any paper or receipt that is missing.

That's hilarious!
Right now, we have 4 dogs and a cat in the house. No one really has a stash, I'm not sure anyone could hide anything from anyone else. anyhow, the youngest of our house pets is 9, so they aren't interested in playing and hiding as much as they used to.
My beagle used to like to try to hide bones under the couch cushions, or under a pillow. But he can't anymore, because someone else would find it and steal it.

That is the cutest thing ever! I have three outdoor cats and the things they would stash would scare the snot out of me. Actually they were all strays I took in and are not super playful, more of the petting type.
My sister's pet is a playful thing and it so fun to watch her.
Morgana sounds like such a cute character!

Our cat likes q-tips. She waits for me to get out of the shower so I can toss her one or two, unused of course. She bats them around for a long time until they get under a piece of furniture. Fun finding the remnants of our little house pets, isn't it?

My cat's favorite toy is those foil balls as i like to call them. Not sure what they are really called, since when I get my cats toys, I don't pay all that much attention to names..lol! But anyway, before I became wise to what my cat was doing, about once a month I would have to go out and get a new package of them for her, so she would have some toys to play with. Well one day I went into the spare room that we use for storage and viola there were all my cat's toys. She had pushed them under the door some how and couldn't get them out afterwards.
So now before I hit the store to get my cat some toys. I will look in our storage area first.

Our 4 year old cat is forever stealing hair ties and bands. I find them everywhere! I'm not sure the appeal except for that she knows she's not supposed to take them. It's not like she doesn't have mice and toys made for cats. Silly girl!

Thanks for sharing your cute story. Under your couch looks like under my couch only mine has super balls under it. My cat love to play with super balls and ends up batting them under the couch. He has many of them and once a week I move the couch and take them out. He starts all over again running around playing with the super balls.:)

That is just too funny and cute! My cat does that with little paper balls all the time and I'll find them under the couch, behind the curtains and behind doors. She counts stuff too, in the morning she gets 5 treats from my mom so that she'll let her get out the door. She'll count each one, walk over to it and when all five are counted for then she'll move and go eat them, lol.

Awww twoey68 that's cute! My cats do the same thing with their mice toys. They bat them around so much that they go under the stove, refridgerater and furniture then I wonder where they all went. I go to the store and buy more and next thing I know, the toys are gone again so I go searching for them and find them all under things and I get them out once again only to go through the same cycle over again.

that is so cute (well I dont think you mind cleaning up or you would have told your husband to stop doing that ages ago). But how smart of her knowing where to put them. my neighbour has a cat that would come in the room and get socks and she would go inside the couch and hide them there. and my uncle had a bird that used to still money (we asume their money) any coin that he found he would put it in a half empty flower pots that were very high. One day they decided to pain the house and when they took the 4 pots they found almost $200 in them.

That is so cute. I used to give my dog newspapers to tear up. He loved it and had so much fun. He would only tear up the paper that I gave him. He would sit there and shred it. Another dog I had, had a toy pork chop. She would carry that pork chop around and tuck it under her leg, to hide it. She also used to try to hide the food from the other dog. One time we found a tiny piece of paper on top of the food. If she didn't have paper to hide the ood, she would take a rug and put on top of the food. I had another dog that would guard your food. You could set your food down, she had manners and would get it. The little dog would steal it if he had a chance, the other dog would watch it for you and make sure the other dog didn't get it. Sadly all the dogs I am talking about are gone now. I do have the daughter of 2 of the dogs.

That is too funny! When my dog was alive, he would take my daughters socks and underwear. For some reason he would only take her underthings. He would hide them, if they were torn up, he would pull them out of the trash in the laundry room and take them! Also, he would dig in the trash to get to the toilet paper pieces or trash. He would collect that and we would have to put the cans under the sink in the cabinet to stop him.

I think it is so cute, twoey, how pets will have their own little habits that makes them unique. Morgana will probably forever associate the mints with your hubby. I hope he doesn't decide to give them up. lol. In many ways they are just like us-they each lay claim to something that is all their own. Wouldn't you like to get inside her head to find out why she does what she does?

My two little "angels" like to do that with all their toys they have...They have quite a collection of catnip mice, catnip socks, balls, you name it..usually they are scattered all over the floor...uh, don't ask how many times I've tripped over them...but then all of a sudden I won't see one toy around, not one...and sure enough..their stash seems to be mainly under the sofa and a few under my bed...so I take them all out and scatter them on the living room floor for them to play with again..until next time they do a disappearing act again

My dogs and cats are constantly stashing stuff all over the place. One of the funniest, was when I used to keep Bryndal in the house. She is a pit, boxer mix, according to the vet. Anyway, she had tons of toys, and dog bones, and I kept them in a box. Well, she didn't want them there, so she made her own place. She pulled out one of the couch cushions, and chewed it up. Then she put most of her stuff in there, and the bits of cushion, and the really funny thing is, she pushed the cushion back, so I never realized it right away. I wondered why, when I would pick up her stuff off the floor, there was so much less, than there used to be. One day, I went to take the cushions off, to clean under them, and imagine my surprise! lol I kept the same couch until I had to put her out in the kennel. The reason that I had to put her in the kennel was because she bit my chihuahua, Katey and tore her eye out. Now, I don't think she meant to do that, she was just trying to keep her away from her food, because it would not have been hard for her to kill her if she'd have wanted to, but I couldn't take a chance, and moved her out. Now, I only let her in the house, when I'm here, and I put Katey in a room away from her.

When I started reading this I thought it was your daughter. But it is your pet?? What a cute thing. I wish my cats had a cute habit like that!
