Usually when a member gives me a friend request, I look up their profile and then approve them. I have not yet disapproved of any requests. I don't have any problem whatsoever with approving friend requests. I think the more that I have on my list the more I can explore and respond to more topics.

so far i've approved all friends requests without seeing their profile or knowing them personally. but from now onwards am planning to visit their profile, get to know about their interests and then only approve. because there are many people now in my friend's list whose discussions does not matches with my interests and am finding it difficult to take part in their discussions.

Hi subha12! Yes, I do approve all friend requests. Since joining here in myLot, never in mind have come to think about rejecting other friend requests. I do check their profile first before accepting it. I do not want to discriminate other people. In fact, I will be very grateful if they are in my friends list.
Have a nice day and God speed!

I do approve all. And I keep all unless they do something properly rotten. They took the time to ask for my friendship, so why not?

The same goes for offering positive feedback. That includes those that have poor grammar or maybe those with short replies. Not everyone has strong English here. Some have to put out more effort for what others take for granted. I give negative or abusive only for those who are deliberate in being nasty or really abusive.

I am careful because I've gotten a few too many that will request me and then send me their referal links as soon as I accept. I'e also had a few who just didn't behave like very good friends...the one that stands out is the one that would copy/paste a response after reading the title only whether it had anything to do with the discusion I was trying to have or the question I was asking. I also don't accept too many new users. I don't often deny them either, I just let them wait awhile until I can see what they are like and if they are going to stick around. I also prefer to only accept people with similar interests and that I seem to answer a lot or who answer me a lot. I have made exceptions to my rules though...sometimes it has worked out, sometimes it hasn't.

yes I approve all freinds requests but I read first their profile. If possible I don't want to deny since mylot is a worldwide site to meet people in the different corner of the world. Sometimes I visit my friends lsit and remover or delete those who are already inactive to give space to new friends.

I haven't turned down a friend request... and i don't think i will ever do that... although i am considering deleting some friends who are not active... but then i think i will wait like months before i do that... i don't really visit my friends' profile... i only do that if i am looking for topics that i want to respond to...

I do approve most requests, but not if the person has used language inappropriate for family viewing or is in violation of myLot rules. For instance, someone recently posted a referral link in one of my discussions and then sent me a friend request. I denied that one without even having to view the profile. I also recently deleted a "friend" for having posted his referral link on my profile page, as that is tacky.
