I just wondering what's the significance of a christmas tree? Many of us prepare a X'mas trees during christmas season. I want to know what it really means. What it signifies and what is its essential. I believe it rooted on our spiritual belief and it it symbolizes a very deeply significant truth about spiritual life. What about you? What are your views with this one?

It was the famous Christian reformer Martin Luther who started the modern Christmas tree tradition. The decorated evergreen has profound spiritual meaning. Generally, the use of Christmas
has been long a tradition.
The meaning of Christmas tree as illustrated by David Bruce -
triangle shape is the trinity
points upward toward God
evergreen is eternal
green is life
the needles grow upward like hands praising God
lights of the Christmas tree signify heaven
the gifts are symbols of charity and love

thanks sister for the wonderful gift!!!for marking mine BR. I am preparing later today to unpack the old artificial Christmas tree and start decorating it. It's nice having the warmth as early as this month.

When I think of christmas, several things come into my mind, like santa, cake, gifts from family and of course the christmas tree. I am really not sure of the significance of this tree but i know that it is time to decorate the tree together with family.I enjoy looking at its beauty once its finished and when xmas is over, we used to remove those good things on it and share with friends. I also think the tree when lit resembles the big star that lead the three wisemen to where Jesus was borne. I am surely not sure.

You know, i'm not real sure what the signifigance is of the Christmas tree. For my family and i, it is a time for us to all come together and decorate it as a family. Where the kids aren't off playing and the daily chores are not being done. Just time to be together and do something as a family and it's really a lot of fun to see my kids get so excited about getting to help decorate.
