Copy and paste ARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHH!!!

Yes, I'm getting a little annoyed by this also-especially when someone copies my original post and pastes it 3 or 4 times later on in the discussion. It's not only irritating, but a big waste of time for everyone who gets an email notification of the same response for each time it is posted. MyLot must have some way of detecting this, and I hope that those who make a habit of it get their memberships suspended or revoked. I'm not a vindictive person, but come on guys! This site is supposed to be fun, and these clowns ruin it for everyone else. I wouldn't be surprised if we lose new and potentially good members because they see this and think this place is just a joke.

Hi Pmcbridge, I can't see the point in people doing it (apart from them earning money) It definately doesn't bring anything to a discussion and most of the time ruins it because it's such a large pasting it usually takes up half the page!! Totally agree with you give 'em the minus sign!!!

i got same experience too. the first time i saw the reply, i scratched my head wondrin "wadahel is he talkin abt?!". i'm glad someone posted something that explained it (the copy-paste) before i boggled my mind over it :) then same guy did it again to my other post, same exact reply which is way out of the topic, but i just replied "don't you get tired of doing this?!". i guess i was in a good mood, both times, hehe.

I know!! I hate that. Yesterday I had the guy that is now todays top users, in my discussion. He just kept saying"im single" and it had nothing to do with the discussion a all. I just kept giving him a minus.

I try to give a well thought out answer to every question. Sometimes each reply can be answered the same though.

Yes it is annoying because these people usually don't even make an effort to answer the question. One question I read the other day was something along the lines of 'What did you dream last night?' And the obviously copied reply was a dictionary entry about what dreaming was, it didn't even answer the question. It was a huge post too. I don't mind if people copy and paste something that supports what they are saying and are open about the source of the information they have copied, but like you said, some people do it just to try and earn more cash. Thank goodness for the rating system.

it dont bother me as long as i'm here to do what needs to be done. respond to topics start a disscussion. mylot monitors everything you guys so calm down if it was a problem they would have been done something about it.
