Do you hurt when anybody oppose your discussion at mylot?

i think i will take it easy. we know that mylot is a worldwide website, there are members from many countries, with different culture, tradition, and religion. so it acceptable to have people who hold the oppose opinion with you. it is no big deal,everyone here are free to express their opinions. you can just ingore those different opinions.

Why should I be hurt or mad. To me that is giving them way too much energy and I just don't have the time for that nonsense. It's just a message board no reason to get bent all out of shape just because someone doesn't agree with you. People are going to have their opinions and that's great there's no reason to get upset over it.

This is a discussion site, Mymytri and as such, people are allowed, or encouraged to give their opinions on your topic. Whether that opinion agrees or disagrees with yours is of no consequence... the point is, it makes for a well-supported, good discussion, for which you get paid more. So, no, I wouldn't get hurt or mad. I would simply keep them coming back in debate. :) Brightest Blessings.

Hi mymytri! I do agree with you that we are all different from each other one way or the other. We may differ in opinions and thoughts but we can always disagree politely. I believe that we are all trying to have fun and making friends here and I have been enjoying my stint here. However, I did experience some rudeness once but I just ignored it so that things wouldn't get heated up. I did feel hurt when people misunderstood what i am trying to say but I guess, it is just the way they are and didn't mean to hurt anyone in the process just the same. Nevertheless, generally people here in mylot are kinder and nicer and I guess, most are trying very hard to understand one another just to make this site a beautiful place to be in. It does not bother me if people oppose my discussions here as we are all different and have different views on thing. That is what makes life wonderful. If we all agreed with each other all the time on our discussions, the world would be a boring place. Having a difference of opinion is a good thing and not a bad thing in my opinion.

I try and let everything go. But I will be honest I have just got back to answering a few posts here and there on this site. I know I have many friends but it seemed like I was always commenting ion their stuff but people avoiding mine. I have not started a thread in a couple of months.

It does not bother me and why should it bother you? Are we robots or people? If I am posting something, I expect someone to oppose my views. The only thing I do not like is for him or her to be the first person to post. I really do not like people who go to the discussions with no responses, find one that they are against and make sure they are the first ones posting. I mean, if you had posted something like "when Jesus talked about the temple, was he talking about His body or the temple in Jerusalem," you would hate for the very first post to be from an atheist who did not believe the Bible and was using it to get his fellow atheists to bad mouth your post.

To be honest, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and so long as the response is not rude or abusive, I don't mind.

I do take it easy. Discussions have lots of different responses from lots of different people. Of course there will be people that oppose me in any given discussion, plenty for sure. If I was going to get upset by that it would be better for me not to be here at all. I take each answer as it comes. People opposing me don't have to be wrong. People agreeing with me don't have to necessarily be right. It's from people disagreeing with us that sometimes we get the best different perspectives. SOmetimes not LOL

Nah, never. At times I'll go refute if someone doesn't agree with me or tries whatever game they want to play. I'll give them one shot at my second explanation. If they still want to drag it out, I may continue or I may just say "well no convincing this one" might as well continue to relax and post. Mylot is a verbal/textual battleground. Some scrapes to the ego come with the territory. Other times you are misinterpreted. And then some people try to demonize you. Whatever. I'm to the point where I'll post as I wish. You like it, fine. You don't, whatever. You don't care, meh.

I think that when you post your opinion or thoughts in a public forum, you need to be ready to find out that people disagree with your point of view, without being too sensitive about it. There are people on here from all over the world, and many cultures have very different standpoints on certain things. This is after all a 'discussion' website, so you should be willing to discussing different thoughts and feelings on a subject. No one is telling you that you are wrong - they are telling you that they don't agree. This is something that also happens in the real world, but at least here you get the time to think about what you want to say before articulating it.

Not at all. I do not impose such a feeling of mine on others. In fact I had given best response award to those who have responded to my topics contrary to my statements. Opinions differ and some people present the facts very well to prove their point and I recognize such things.

Well, this is a place where discussions are always on! We all knew that so when some one oppose the discussion it is presumed that this is a forum for discussion so discuss it thoroughly! No hurts, no reaction, no wrong attitude should come in between... This is what I understood this forum and its processes!

No, it doesn't hurt me in the least if someone opposes something I post on myLot! That's what it's for, to have discussions. How interesting would it be to post on a topic and get nothing but "I agree", "You're right", and no other viewpoints other than your own? I answer discussions if I have a differing opinion from another poster but I do so in a respectful and friendly matter. The only time I ever get defensive is if someone gets abusive towards me and calls me names or insults my intelligence. To me myLot is a place to have fun exchanges of ideas and opinions. We all may learn something and we all may teach something. Annie

Dear mymytri, Some people have the basic instinct to hurt others. They get pleasure out of doing that. 95% people always reply very nicely though they might oppose my views. Some members bluntly oppose in such manner it really hurts. I generally do not give any importance to that. I used to go through most of the replies made to others discussion also wherein I found people reply senselessly. I used to laugh at that time. Some people reply in such a beautiful manner, I used to appreciate their logic.

No i won't and why should i hurt one that to in mylot.It's a discussion place where one has rights to express there views and it's not like that whole world should think like you on a issue.If whole world will think alike then we will be in dark age only.we are not able to enjoy the present luxirious life.
