Do animals have souls?

Heck yeah animals have souls. Regardless if they're wild or domesticated, they all have souls. I don't know what your religion beliefs are but I believe God made all living things which includes us and we have souls so why wouldn't an animal? Yes I do believe they all go to Heaven. God is in Heaven so why wouldn't He take them all back to be with Him? Oh yes definetely all living things have souls.

I do believe that all animals haave souls. You only have to look into their eyes to see them. Domestic or wild, there is something there behind their eyes. I believe that when they pass beyond this life they cross the Rainbow Bridge. Those who have humans with whom they wish to stay wait for us there, at peace and at play. Those who do not travel on to the next realm. Our beloved pets who loved us in return can reecognize our souls as we pass from here. They run to meet us and we travel on together.

Oh yes - most definately. That's probably why I get so upset when I read about people abusing animals and treatingthem like trash. I am one of those people who believes that animals are equal to humans - no better, but most surely no worse. They may not be able to read, write, and use computer technology like we do, but their extra-sensory perception and other advanced skills make them equally skilled in their own ways as we are in ours.

The church I belonged to believed that animals had souls. They were innocent souls and never fell, all the evil in the world was brought about by the sins of man. Now, I've met a few animals I had my doubts about. My former roomie met a dog once that was perfectly friendly until she crossed herself, then the dog lunged at her. About the same time we met this handsome black cat. He'd seem very friendly, let you pet him, then suddenly turn and attack you. Since animals have innocent souls, they go directly to heaven, don't have to pass "Go" and collect their reward directly. I assume that they live in peace and without needs once they get to heaven. That every wrong is rectified and count against the human wrong doer. This includes the person that left a visious dog out to maul someones pet or the the person that let their pet out to be killed by wild animals.

Hello GaiaFireLynx. I do not believe that animals have souls. My belief is that it is only men who were created in the image and likeness of God. This is what is written in the Bible. And God is a spirit, so men have spirit or soul also.

Since animals dream, and feel, and mourn, I am sure they have souls. How could a being without a soul do these things?

i believe that what happens with humans happens with animals too.now i dont have any styrong belief's what happens after life.am more interestd in what happens when we are living

Soul is taken from the word psyche. In the Holy Bible, there are some creatures other than men mentioned to have psyche. However, it is the psyche of man which will be judged in the last day, animals are not included.

Personally NO, i do not believe that animals have a soul...I know they have feelings,and personalities,but as far as a soul i do not think so.I feel,that animals are a blessing from God to be out companions and friends,we are to see that they are treated well and cared for,and i feel that we would be risking being punished for mistreating any animal,but i feel that they are here for the benefit of man..I do not feel that they have a living soul like a human does...As far them being in heaven, it could be that animals just might be in heaven,i do not know...But this is a discussion site and i am just telling you what i feel...I do not wish or intend to take anothers opinion and view it as wrong,i feel we all have a right to feel how we want.i can respect anothers opinion on the matter...

I do believe pets have souls. I believe all animals have souls of some sort or other. I don't know where they go, but I hope that they will be in heaven with us.

I believe that all animals and plants have souls. I can see it in my pets' eyes. They are good and kind, and I believe they will go to Heaven.

hi friends, All animals have the soul, but maximum uses his soul but few animals do not uses his soul. Like snake doesn't use his soul. or you can say that maximum poisions animals don't use his souls. thanks

I do not believe that animals have souls. That being said, I don't believe in souls at all. I believe in a living energy that we all share. This energy gets transfered from being to being to rock to tree.

Yes, I agree that animals do have souls. The only difference between animals and human beings is that animals cannot speak rest all the qualities do exists in animals as well. They can sense, understand and use thier brains for thier own well being.

I believe that they have souls just as we do. We never know what really happens when we pass away or where we go but we all have souls and I think that we all end up in the same place when that time comes.

I believe they have something that will have them in heaven. Why else does the bible state the lamb and the lion will walk together. I believe all animals will go to heaven and be somewhere. Especially pets of loved ones. Why would we have to spend eternity without the love that God allowed us to have them for years in our lives. I love my pets those gone and still here. I want to be with them forever, and believe God allows them so.

The only kind of animal which i know for sure that has a soul are - humans. the rest are non. i could not imagine other animals with souls. especially the insects. I've killed a lot of them already. And if they do possess a soul, then I am a murderer for a million times already. lol But I don't think they have. But I know others believe they do have.

In my opinion, I think animals do have soul like human being. When they do good things more than bad things all their life, they have the access to the Heaven. Otherwise, they should just go down to the Hell. Because in Chinese culture, the lives of all the creature are in circulation. If a person do a lot of bad things in the current centry, he will become an animal after dying in the current centry and reviving in the next.

if you believe in soul then it is there for all animal; human, domestic, wild and even for bacteria and virus. souls are there also for all types of plants and trees.
