You could use Windows Movie Maker. If you use Windows XP Service Pack 2 with some Hotfix bla-bla-bla then you have it. Try searching for it in you computer and I guarantee you'll find it. Windows Movie Maker is a very easy to use free software to edit videos. It was developed by Microsoft.

If you select audio video in the category search e - If you select audio video in the category engine you will narrow your search further.
Go to Freeware Files and search for .avi editor. The search engine will take you to a group of programs that edit AVI files. If you select audio video in the category engine you will narrow your search further. Some are better than others. All are free. http://www.freewarefiles.com
