What's your Favorite Music Style?

I listen to almost all kinds of stuff. I can listen to pop, rock, classical, techno, etc.
But obviously, I have my preferences. My favorite music is rock on it's widest meaning. It goes from rock and roll to heavy metal and death metal...the most agressive branches of rock.
But i can enjoy opera at times, i can enjoy pop artists too, and things like that. I think that variety is the key to have a good musical taste.
So which is your favorite musical style?

Dido really is not my thing, too slow and monotone for me...Shania has some really nice songs..when she doesn't sound countryish.

I'm like you -= very eclectic - everything from folk music to country, pop and rock and even classical! One of my nephews best friends has quite a good reputation in rap - not the Gangster style thankfully and I really like listening to him too!
I love the music from the 60s (even though I was only born a couple of months before the end of the decade) and I would have to say that The Mamas and The Papas are my favourite group and Meredith Brookes 'B1tch' is my favourite song! xxxx

No comment about that song being your favorite hehehehe. It's cool to have a very eclectic span of bands that you like, i think it's way better than simply stitcking to one genre of them. thanks for replying.

I love 70's, 80's, alternative rock, slow rock and balads songs. I love the oldies band: herman's hermits.
I love green day, scorpion, cranberries, fool's garden and michael learns to rock..

Although I listen to just about everything...oldies because I am one...lol....techno because my son is a dj and Barney songs because of my granddaughter...my favorite of course is country music hands down.

I love rock the best, specifically punk rock. Yellowcard, Simple Plan, Relient K, and Linkin Park are some bands that I enjoy listening to. But i also like classical piano and hiphop, and generally anything that has an upbeat rhythm.

I used to like Linkin park when they released their first albums. After a while i've lost a bit of interest, since now they don't surprise me that much anymore. But i still listen to some of their songs.

It really depends on my mood...but mostly I like rock. I'm not really into heavy metal or anything though. I like groups like Fall Out Boy, Three Days Grace, Puddle of Mudd, Jonezetta, Cobra Starship (sort of rock, I guess lol).

From all those bands, i only know Puddle of Mudd, but i guess they're all kind of soft rock bands, aren't they? thanks for replying.

Well a bit of a mixture like you - though I draw the line at Country and Western! I totally loathe all that stuff - can't bear it!!! LOL! Other than that - I guess you would say "soft" rock is my favourite and what they used to call "progressive" rock - bands like Pink Floyd, and Genesis who were at their peak when I was at Uni in the 70's. I love classical too though - opera and ballet. Also the old-style musicals, some dance and techno, some ordinary "pop" stuff. Just keep me away from that darn country - LOL!

Hey, you have a really good taste rosie! congratulations. Yeah, i got what you said with progressive rock..i guess that bands like pink floyd or the who are the most important within that music style.

I mainly only listen to rock, but I enjoy other stuff as well. The only things that I can really admit to hating are screamo. Any song where anyone screams for over thirty second, well... I hate it.
It just sounds like random noises.

Be careful with some metal bands when you're mad, they could make it worse hehehe. Just kidding, actually i am a heavy metal lover as well. thanks for replying.
