Do you have a discussion in the "no responses" section of mylot?

I was looking for a discussion in the no responses section and I can see why they are there. I couldn't find even one to respond to. Do you know how many pages are there? Over 123! Once I hit that number I got tired of looking and wasting all that time. As far as I got I didn't have any discussions with no responses and felt good about that.
Do you have any 0 response discussions waiting for a friend to find it? Do you think it's only the newer members who do? Is it because they don't have many friends on their list or is it just that the discussions are one liners or only apply to people of a specific country, culture or religion?

Yes I have a few discussions in the no responses section. One was about hockey and another wasn't put uuder the correct interest, I was new and didn't know what Iwas doing.I have read some of the discussions and I think the posts are either too personal or geared to a specific person that didn't see it or is about a subject that My Lottter don't know anything about.

I have a couple of no response discussions. Here is the link to one of them and guess nobody entered. Another is under stamp collecting. I understand everyone doesn't have the same interests. Have a good day.

I don't think I have any discussions there but do remember when I first joined it seemed like forever before anyone responded. Now I have a great group of friends I can always count on to get at least a few responses from.
Back months ago I would get bored and be 'searching' for discussions and would often go to the 'no responses' section. I remember my first discussion with no responses so did my best to help some 'newbies' out even if just responding with how they might improve their discussion or why no one is responded. If I can see someone isn't new and it's a bad discussion I DON"T respond to those - they should know better.

I recommend to everyone before you start posting a bunch of discussions spend a week or two responding to other people's discussions and making friends here.

Very good advice. I doubt new members read them but that should be in the faq's.

I think they get no responses because their too new to have many friends, don't know how to ask for them or nobody requests them. I guess we all start out there.

I have gone through the no response section and have the same problem of not being able to respond to the topic. But what is wrong with one liners? Are they against the rules or something, cause I think I have responded to some of those myself. I don't have any without any responses yet.

One liners are usually not descriptive as it says next to this box "please be as descriptive as possible". Usually they get deleted or end up in the 0 responses forever.

Oh so they are worth doing so that is why so many of them get no responses. Thanks I will keep that in mind.

Yup, I have 3 discussions with no responses that were posted when I joined MyLot 3 months ago. And these were not 1 liners, nor were they about religion, specific country, but yes, maybe of interests that were not shared by many here - photos and collecting minerals, the car Toyota MR2, and such
Here are these 3:

I will definitely check those out just so they will come up for the newer members to see. Maybe they will be interested in them.

I think I got a couple, lol.
I found this one in the No Comment section! hehe
There are very many, but I notice they are mostly one liners or just Do You? Im thinking Do I what? LOL I try and browse them just to see, and sometimes I reply to the ones asking for help on myLot on how to change something or things like that.

Yes, I was there until I got my first response which came pretty fast. I have to admit I seldom if ever respond to one line discussions even if they are asking for help on mylot. I feel since they are so short and not descriptive they will get deleted and my response goes along with it.

I can't recall ever having a discussion with zero responses. Guess I've been lucky as far as that goes. One reason I think it may be due to is the fact that some don't have enough friends on their list and that's possibly why they don't get a response. I have well over 300 friends and am lucky to get a 10 percent response ratio. I might get 30 responses.

Of course you wouldn't have any there...you're discussions are always very interesting. I also have over 250 friends and 10% responses is about what I get. I think it's time for me to start cleaning up my list. Most are probaly gone any way.

LOL - good one Bob didn't think of that :) I must say I think I don't have enough time on my hands as I've never thought to figure out how many of my friends respond to my discussions. I do however know that there are a small few such as yourselves who I can usually count on to respond :)

I see alot of them my friend, everyday. Most of them are posts that are really less "challenging" for us to respond at, maybe because they are made by newbies and that they don't know yet how to start "good" ones. I also saw posts which are made by older members, that I would like to think people who are not good in the english language do this.
I do have unresolved discussions, two pages I believe. But those were made a long time ago, like them (newbies) I don't have any idea yet on how to post descriptive discussions. But it doesn't bother me at all, since I did most of them out of curiosity.

I have a lot of unresolved discussions myself and try to get them cleared up since I was told they have a lot to do with our earnings. I still can't keep up with them since I've been working.

I have a few zero responses. Mostly, it's because you hit on something complicated or controversial and people don't want to touch those, but also I've asked some simple questions, for advice in job-hunting, etc. I think it just varies. I also know that it also depends a lot on where you post your threads too...

LOL!!! Though I never respond to discussions from that section, whenever I go into that section after sometime when I feel its been long time since I have gone there, everytime I come back dissappointed.. That section consistes of the silliest of all discussions here on mylot.. Not one is worth responding to.. I have never had my discussion fall into that bracket...

Unfortunately I do have a few under that category. I wish I knew of a way to just delete that particular discussion, as I will probably never get a response. You would think after a few months of zero responses, mylot would automatically get rid of those discussions, but they are too busy deleting the current discussions to do that it seems. Have a great weekend my friend :)

I have one discussion that has no responses. Its from about 6 months back. All I asked was what everyone was doing for mothers day or something like that. not one person answered, even my "friends". I know what you mean. I usually find my questions in the no response section that way people have atleast one response to their discussions. But lately I have to go quite a few pages back before I find one I can respond to. There are way more than 123. I've been as far back as the 140's before I found one to respond to.

Well no, but that could also be because of the fact that I havent started any discussions so far !! The truth is, discussions have no responses if they arent worth responding to in the first place, imagine a discussion like this " I am a boy, but am I a boy" How ever on earth would you respond to a discussion like that ? Wouldnt it just be better to spend your time on some other interesting discussion ? And then with the number of members on mylot I believe that if your discussion is worthwhile there are definitely going to be a lot of people waiting in line just to answer it !

i think i have few in them.
I also visit this section often and try to find out the discussions that i can answr.
I agree with you there are some that are not easy to respond but there are some we can respond to.
Atleast i have responded some.
Its not only that new comers do that.
sometimes people who are not so new have this type of discussions.
May be it is the lack of friend or lack of interest taht they are not answered.

As far as I know, ctry, I have no discussions on the "no responses" section. I would hope that someone would respond to all of my discussions, however I have had a few duds that only received a few responses. I said this before when I responded to a similar discussion. I think that some posts get no responses because they DO sound like gibberish because the poster does not have a good grasp of the language. In other cases, I feel that people won't respond if they think the topic is too controversial.

I have fewer no responses than when I first started. My questions were very specific and left a lot of people out, now most of them are very general. But even the ones that had no responses are starting to get some. I just got a response for one asking if anyone else here is going to physical therapy. My gatherer ones were only for people who gather things, so I guess that's a specific sub-culture. I also asked both specific and general religious questions. The specific ones didn't receive very many answers, but the general ones did. The more specific, the fewer the people who can respond, the more general, the more people who can respond. With 109,846 members, I figure, no matter what I write, someone can and will respond, eventually. Take care
