I do know that some people do think that way, and I have met a few, and am related to a couple as well.
I do not share that belief.
I really don't know if it is natural, or a learned behavior, but I know that it is there.

Isn't that what also motivates most bullies?
So that is probably a valid observation.

Bullying and prejudice have a lot in common, now that you mention it. They both involve picking on others for no good reason, the ones who practice them are admired by some because of their strength, and they impart the wrong kind of messages.

I wonder if it stems from insecurity. Maybe when people aren't sure of their own worth, they try to convince themselves that they're better than others.

HI,friend . i think most people have the superiority ,that make them feel better, and get the confidence to live happily.if someone don't know how to find his /her advantage,or just find her/his disadvantages and others' advantage .he or she may be sad ,and be unhappy. so we should learn to find our superiority.we can find that by reading some books about that.

It's possible to get over sadness without causing any sadness for anyone else.

you know what I have heard that too, and I call BS!!! I have been in an inter-racial marrage for almost 4 years now. Let me tell you it has taken my friends and family almost this long just to get used to the idea. I think its rediculus. People really are just people, like in that song, ya know.

I love that song. I don't understand why there is so much fear of the unknown now. Maybe it made sense when people lived in caves and life was survival of the fittest, but it doesn't make sense anymore. Congratulations on your family getting used to the idea of your marriage!
