perrygunight As long as they tolerate each other it'll be okay. I can't imagine them ever curling up and going to sleep together, but if next winter's as cold as the last one they might.

perrygunight The new one is more interested than the old one. We were going to keep them separated until she'd gotten used to living here, but she scouted her out and tried to play with her. The old cat isn't interested in playing.

perrygunight That's very sad. Cats do grieve when they lose friends. I hope yours is getting over the loss. Mine are still avoiding making eye contact, and if it happens accidentally there is major hissing.

perrygunight What a good cat, bringing the mouse into your room. When cats leave their kill in your doorway it's a symbol of how much they love you. I'm not sure what the cat psychology is when they consume a mouse in your bedroom though.
