perrygunight That's good to know. If they start to behave around each other and then have a spat, maybe it'll be over in a minute. Hmmm, reminds me of some people. Well, the older cat thinks she's a person anyway.

perrygunight As long as they tolerate each other it'll be okay. I can't imagine them ever curling up and going to sleep together, but if next winter's as cold as the last one they might.

perrygunight The new one is more interested than the old one. We were going to keep them separated until she'd gotten used to living here, but she scouted her out and tried to play with her. The old cat isn't interested in playing.

perrygunight That's very sad. Cats do grieve when they lose friends. I hope yours is getting over the loss. Mine are still avoiding making eye contact, and if it happens accidentally there is major hissing.

Why is Barack Obama's Irish ancestry given so much less news coverage than the Kenyan half? Is it because there have already been so many presidents with Irish blood? How many? Who were they? It would be interesting to know.

perrygunight That's a good point about the unlimited disk space. Maybe they were being so nice before they made it more time-consuming that we got spoiled. I do miss being able to only have to look at the crappy stuff once, though.

Does anyone write for WriterBin? I just learned about it, and it looked good at first, but after reading more about it, I'm not so sure. They had typos in their FAQs section, and they don't guarantee payment. Sounds fishy.

perrygunight How about "domestic engineer"? I think that one replaced "homemaker", which replaced "housewife", but there are usually kids in most of those pictures.

perrygunight Thanks. I'll try that. I usually write it in Word. Once when I wrote it directly on AC without copying it, the whole thing disappeared and I had to start from scratch.

I heard someone say that it is natural for a lot of people to think they are superior to others because of skin color. I don't believe anyone I know thinks such a thing. Do you?

perrygunight Bullying and prejudice have a lot in common, now that you mention it. They both involve picking on others for no good reason, the ones who practice them are admired by some because of their strength, and they impart the wrong kind of messages.

perrygunight I wonder if it stems from insecurity. Maybe when people aren't sure of their own worth, they try to convince themselves that they're better than others.
