Very is a Very, Very Bad Word.

Very many people have the very bad of abusing the word very. Very many times I have read very many posts here and have found that very many people on very many occasions use the word very many times when it is not needed. Very much writing could be improved if very many people would, on very many occasions look at what the have written and substitute the worst The worst obscenity they can think of for the word very and then decide if it is really needed. If it is not needed, take it out if it does not effect the meaning of what you have written.
Very many people would make me very happy if on very many occasions they would not use the word very so very many times.

It's funny that you have noticed this one. Yes there are many other abused words use by many people.Words that is not really needed in the sentences and yet we kept on using it. Mostly I believe that they just don't actually notice it, maybe because then did not read their own writing before posting. Or may be they just feel the need of the word.(lol) how ever, whatever it is, it's really funny reading post like this. this is just my guess though..have a nice day.

I couldn't agree more. People overuse certain words all the time and "very" is of course one of the worst offenders. For me, I tend to be more creative and not use "very" as much as most people. However, I have a problem with overusing the word "muse" in my poetry. I started using it about a year ago and became obsessed. I need to pick a new word and also learn to use the thesaurus.

I think people get into very bad habits so very many times that they no longer see their very bad habit the way other very observant people do. Very unfortunate since it is so very very annoying. I like your very creative idea of substituting the word very for the very worst obscenity. Very ingenious, very creative and indeed very helpful to some I'm very sure. I am very, very worried about this very, very big problem. I feel very, very afraid I might very, very possibily be a user of the word very sometimes. I am very, very, very sorry. I never noticed that the word very would be used that many times, but while we are having this little discussing the word many is used many times to much to, nearly at every very you use there is a many before it. I guess we all are (Atleast most of us) just don't think about the words we use, just type whats pops up in your head :).

This was quite amusing. It reminded me of how annoying it is when people who love to say "that" describe things that they like and food that they ate and, worst of all, friends that they have. If their friends are inanimate objects, they need counseling.
