I reply to things too. Its better and faster. Plus I really shine replying to some great topics. Also for new members, its better to reply to discussions to get your name out there and stand out from the crowd. All to often I see new members joining and automatically starting discussions then complaining they don't get enough responses. Guys, its hard knowing you are there, even with new discussions or new user discussions, there is still a lot to go over. A little patience is needed, but soon enough you'll find your niche.

I'm quite new here, too. I can imagine myself still inside my bubble wrap, LOL.
I find it more interesting to reply. That's a good suggestion theprogramer! It's a tough time sifting through the discussions even if you're in front of the pc for hours.:)

I don't think I can do both all the time.:)
But it's encouraging some people like you could.:) Best wishes on that endeavor!:)

Eversince I joined here, I'm more of a responder than a discussion starter. I'm not that good into making up posts, not that creative in sharing stories about myself and experiences in life. I find it better to put it in a response, which makes me think more of how I'd post it.
Also, I believe that it helps me earn points easier and earn as well.

That's another thought. :) Once in awhile, you get good ideas. Don't hesitate to post them. :)

I agree with you.:)
It's quite hard to think of a topic that no one else has posted. I've seen discussions that have the same content.
Instead of doing that, I try to participate on the current discussion and just voice out my opinions.
Thank you for sharing!:)

There's a lot of discussions worth replying to don't you think? An hour here in mylot is like reading one of my medical books in college! I learn a lot. i get to answer some questions, too. It's always a good thing to help.:)

It'll take me a long time to get that kind of experience. I'm sure I'll have a great time along the way. Having problems is a good way to cherish the blessings you gain, I always say.:)

So true! I've been around a long time and have experienced a few things... I've been with my husband for 44 years, I've raised my kids and some of my grandkids, I've had many injuries and surgeries, migraine and digestive problems... hopefully, I can pass on some of my knowledge to others.

I guess that's one of the advantages in replying to a post.:)
Hey! that's a good idea, but organizing the information turns me off, I'm kind of an organizing freak. I won't be satisfied unless everything will be put where they should be. But that's just me. ^ ^

participation is key to earning in mylot, so I guess the more active you are at responing, the more compensation you get!:)

It depends on my mood. Or if I have anything to say in a discussion. Sometimes I just have a few ideas or things I'd like to get opinions or information on, then I will post discussion topics on those things. I also think I read somewhere that you make more money by responding to discussions that starting them, does anyone know if that is true or not? Have a wonderful weekend my friend :)

Hi applsofgld!:)
Yeah, I don't get too much ideas for posts since I'm busy with some other stuff. The bulk of my creative juices usually drip out for my blog. :)
I'm not quite sure if you make more money responding thatn creating discussions.:)
Maybe you can post it as a discussion. I'd gladly reply to it :)
Have a nice weekend to you too!

I am much of responding to other discussions rather than making my own discussion. I am not really good in terms of creating a discussion, though I make a discussion if I find it very interesting to discuss with.
I am fond of responding other discussions because I know, in this manner, I will learn a lot and gain some knowledge. God speed!

Lately, I'm more busy participating replying to discussions that I like. For all the discussions that I've posted, I have tried to answer back to everyone who stopped by and responded to my discussions. But sometimes, the task of answering back can be very taxing.
So, now that I have a latest discussion that earned a lot of responses, I'm still trying to answer each and everyone of them. I chose to just answer them while searching for other discussions to respond to. That way, I'm multi-tasking.
