Okay I was hearing on the news today that their is lead in lipstick. Now it is bad enough that they think to put lead in children's toys but now I hear it is in lipstick, you know the stuff you put right on your lips! What are they thinking? Apparently there are no rules or something saying that they can't do it. I hardly ever wear lipstick, but will this make you throw yours out? Wear it less?

hello vicki2876, i recently heard this news about lead in lipsticks.i am glad that i don't use lipsticks most often though it can't be ruled out on special occasions.but i use lip-balms and lip-glosses.and i hope that they don't have that lead in them.otherwise i have to throw them out.usually i make my own lip-balm but i buy the gloss from stores. i am hearing a lot on this issue and i think i have to completely stop using lipsticks.lip balms are better alternatives to it that i think.and thanks a lot for sharing it here.

I know it isn't very safe to use and not worth it in the long run. I think the lip balms aren't on the list so they should be fine. Thanks

True everything will kill us eventually. Each day a new thing ends up being unhealthy.

I had that happen to me too! I thought I was just getting chapped lips for no reason then after stopping for a bit it went away. Hmmm Thanks!

Since I don't often use it, so I am not so worried about this issue.

Yeah, I've heard this news too before. They say that those Lipsticks that stay for a long time have a higher lead content. When I heard this news, I avoided buying lipsticks that with a high lead content. I use Chapstick or lipgloss only sometimes.

Yeah it makes me wonder if I should bother at all. My daughter wear gloss and Chapstick too, maybe a better choice. Thanks
