Yes...it's 'ber' time and in less than 2 months, we'll celebrate Christmas. How do you celebrate christmas? Or how do you make the Christmas spirit felt? Here in our country, as early as september, christmas songs are played in department stores and malls. Lots of christmas decorations fill the stores' stalls. During Christmas seasons, you'll have children caroling from Dec. 16th to the eve of 24th. How much you give to these children don't matter at all. They just enjoy singing from house to house to sing christmas songs to everyone in the neighborhood. How about in your country???

I still don't know if I would spend Christams with my family like I usually spent.Becuase I am far from them this year so we would be probably with my boyfriend family. Here is something about our traditions, what we do at home. AT the Christmas day we usually make the last shopping and prepare all the food fro Christmas dinner.Later we decorate the tree and wrap all the presents and put them under the tree.We don't eat all day or if so only very little so dinner is sooner like usually. It is around five o 'clock or so.Before that we just go to to Christmas tree and give everybody presents. After that is time for dinner. In Slovakia we have a fish and soup and after that all those cookies and nuts.We don't pray before the meal usually but in the Christmas time it is just kind of habit to pray and wish everybodo Marry Christmas. Also we have few habits like everybody have to eat a peace of fruit we cut the apple and if there is star we would have a nice year. Also from all the food you eat you put a little bit to the nut shell and than tied it with a tape and when you go to the bed , you put it under your pillow. What you have dream about that night it will become the truth. I think the Christmas is time, when family should be together in the comfort of the house with home-made food and enjoy each other company.I just like to be lazy in those days and watch cartoon and christmas movies. It is very enjoyable time for me.

I was told that in some countries, they decorate the house for at least few days before christmas. but here, as early as sept 1. yes, we also have fruits here.

HI Huang! from what country are you? In asia, i think it's only the philippines that puts importance to christmas. In fact, in cambodia and vietnam, it's not a holiday on Dec 25 =) SOme asian countries have adopted the celebrations of christmas. and it's really wonderful! It may not necessarily be religious or spiritual in purpose, but they celebrate because it's one happy event of the year,!

Im my country, which is Philippines, people really start to have their Christmas spirits with them when the so called "ber" months come. By this time you would already be able to see some Christmas decor on stores and malls, you might also here Christmas carols and songs being played in the streets, malls, department stores, ect. Usually as what I have noticed children here already starts having their caroling by Dec. 10 to Dec.25. Christmas is really a fun time here inmy country cause its the time where most people reunite with their love ones and celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ together as one happy family. And even though there are no snows in our country some places offer artificial snows so that all those people who wants to experience winter can go there enjoy.

YEs. I think Philippines is one place where people really enjoy christmas even if we do not have lots of money. The company of friends and family really make it more meaningful. I also wish I'd experience snow during christmas because I always associate christmas with snow. But the most important thing is, we celerate Christ's day during Christmas.

We all know that Christmas is a time to give and share blessing, I think that's the more important thing for me. I also value children during this season, I believe they are one the reasons why we celebrate it. Aside from kids, sharing and giving gifts, Christmas for me is all-about loving each other and a time to live in peace...

Yeah. I think so, too. Christmas is the best time to think of blessings and share blessings. OUr work sometimes make us blind with the things we have received.

When I was a kid, I used to sing christmas songs to all of our neighbors with my friends starting from December 1. Our family would also invite some relatives to be with us during Christmas and of course to give them some gifts but usually the guests are the ones who give gifts and the host will provide food for them to eat. I really miss those times because we don't have many activities during Christmas unlike the old days.

Every year, for as long as I can remember, my family and I would wake up and bless God for his son's birth and then seat around the tree while my father acted as santa and handed out all the presents. After that, we always go to my grandparents house in Alabama. They have this gorgeous log cabin home and it has always felt so warm and comfortable there. That is our tradition. It hasn't been broken in at least 28 years

That's the nicest part of Christmas. Everybody gets a gift =) we do that here with my family. We don have exchanges of gifts. Exchange of gifts is one practice here in the Philippines--workplace, family, friends. SOmetimes, you have to participate to more than 5 different exchanges of gifts!Christmas wouldn't be complete without these gifts, because Christ is the greatest Gift of all!...

By being a bit nicer to family, friends and co-workers. I'm gonna have to really get in the spirit soon. I mean I'm nice now, but I can be a bit nicer. Also I've got to get my donations to charities in line.

It has been a tradition in our circle of friends that we conduct an outreach program some days before Christmas to share our blessing and of course to make others happy too. We do caroling every weekend and the proceeds would be used in our planned outreach programs. I have tried visiting the home for the aged and the center for street children. We held a Christmas party for them and gave them some token for Christmas. It wasn't that much but we have somehow made them happy in our own little ways.
